Dustin Pedroia (hamstring) said he's fine and will play Thursday.

He was removed from today's game with hamstring soreness, but apparently it's no major concern. From how Pedroia makes it sound, it seems there is close to zero chance he misses tomorrow's contest.

Brad Boxberger threw an inning Wednesday in a rehab appearance, striking out one and allowing a hit.

Those who have stashed Boxberger most of the season should be excited that he will be joining the Rays very soon. He hasn't been exactly shut down during his rehab outings, but he does have six strikeouts in 3.2 innings. Upon his return, he will take over the closing duties.

Eric Decker is skipping OTA's because he's upset over Ryan Fitzpatrick situation.

Coach Todd Bowles doesn't think Decker and center Nick Mangold are making a statement by skipping OTA's, but if you ask me, it sure seems like it. If Fitzmagic isn't under center, Decker is going to be catching footballs from either Geno Smith, Bryce Petty or rookie Christian Hackenburg. Yikes.

Patrick Patterson has a left hand contusion but will return Wednesday.

Once again, Toronto is playing poorly in Cleveland, so if he experiences any more discomfort, expect him to be pulled the rest of the way. The contusion isn't considered major, seeing as he is able to return.

Mike Moustakas (bruised left knee) will be re-evaluated on Thursday.

Moustakas has missed the last three games but we should have a clearer picture on his timetable to return after tomorrow's evaluation. Kansas City's third baseman was is hitting .240 with seven homers and 13 RBI on the season.

Wilmer Flores went 0-for-5 and played a full nine innings at first base in his second rehab game.

When he is eligible to come off the disabled list, don't be surprised when Flores takes over the first base duties for the New York Mets. When Lucas Duda returns, Flores will head back to the bench. In 50 at-bats before the injury, Flores was hitting .180.

Cardinals transferred Mitch Harris (elbow) to the 60-day disabled list.

This is only a procedural move to open a spot on the 40-man roster for the Cardinals. Harris is looking at a possible rehab assignment, albeit that's still even weeks away. He has no fantasy value this season.

Charlie Furbush had some minor soreness in his shoulder after throwing a live batting-practice session last Thursday.

Furbush went on the disabled list with shoulder soreness, and the fact that it came up today is a bit alarming. It may be described as minor, but one must proceed with caution when it comes to a pitcher's shoulder. This will likely set him back a bit in his rehab program.

Diamondbacks GM Dave Stewart is considering optioning Shelby Miller to Triple-A Reno

Boy, who would have thought this a few months ago? I mean, you can't blame Stewart for this, because Miller has been absolutely atrocious. He's 1-6 with a 7.09 ERA and 1.86 WHIP. Perhaps being optioned to the minors would bring Miller back to Earth, but one would think his numbers this year would be humbling enough. Miller has been far from the pitcher many thought he would be in 2016.
