Marquese Chriss Headshot

Chriss scored 23 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and added 11 rebounds, two steals and one block in 31 minutes during Thursday's 126-98 loss to the Nets.

Chriss earned his second career double-double Thursday, and it also marked the first time he achieved consecutive 20-point games. Chriss has scored in double-digits for five straight games, and is averaging 8.2 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.8 threes, and 1.4 steals during that stretch. Granted, this is only a limited stretch of games, but only two players in NBA history have averaged at least 1.4 threes, steals, and blocks in a single season.

Devin Booker Headshot

Booker scored 28 points (9-26 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 7-8 FT) and added three steals and two rebounds in 40 minutes during Thursday's 126-98 loss to the Nets.

Booker fouled out with almost four minutes left in the game, so he may have ended up playing even more minutes. Booker's already high minutes load has increased lately, and he has played at least 38 minutes in five of his last eight appearances. His production has generally scaled up with the extra load, as his scoring and rebounding have increased, though his field goal and three-point shooting numbers have fallen.
3:17 am (EST)
Leon Draisaitl Headshot

Draisaitl finished with a goal and an assist in Thursday's 7-4 win over Colorado.

Draisaitl was quiet for most of this one, but got going late after being demoted to the second line. He helped set up Drake Caggiula's game-winning goal with just over two minutes left, then added an empty-netter in the final minute. The red-hot forward has posted six consecutive multi-point outings, with three goals and 10 assists in that span.
2:05 am (EST)
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Headshot

Nugent-Hopkins dished out two helpers in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Avalanche.

It looked like Nugent-Hopkins was going to miss out on all the fun, but his late contributions were key to this comeback victory. His first assist came on Drake Caggiula's game-winner with 2:11 to play, while his second came on a Leon Draisaitl empty-netter 90 seconds later. Nugent-Hopkins came in with just two points in his past nine games, but his scoring rate will likely rise if Draisaitl's move to the second line in place of Jordan Eberle extends beyond just the third period of this contest.
2:00 am (EST)
Drake Caggiula Headshot

Caggiula scored a goal and added an assist Thursday in Colorado.

Caggiula's goal with 2:11 to play broke a 4-4 tie, and ultimately stood up as the game-winner as his team rallied from 4-2 down to win 7-4. He has four points in the past six games after going 13 without one.
1:53 am (EST)
Connor McDavid Headshot

McDavid dished out two assists Thursday against the Avalanche.

Both of McDavid's helpers came on goals by Jordan Eberle, who replaced Leon Draisaitl on his right wing for the final frame. The line shuffling by coach Todd McLellan certainly worked, helping his team avoid an embarrassing loss to last-place Colorado with a five-goal third period. McDavid's recent surge has given him a cushion in the scoring race, as he sits six points up on both Sidney Crosby and Patrick Kane.
1:48 am (EST)
Jordan Eberle Headshot

Eberle finished with two goals and an assist in Thursday's 7-4 win over Colorado.

Eberle lit the lamp twice in a wild third period that saw his team erase a 4-2 deficit with five unanswered goals. Connor McDavid assisted on both of his tallies after coach Todd McLellan reunited the duo in an attempt to ignite the offense. Eberle's value would receive a substantial boost if this change remains permanent, as his struggles without the Hart Trophy candidate by his side have been well documented.
1:43 am (EST)
Laurent Brossoit Headshot

Brossoit stopped all six shots he faced to beat the Avalanche in relief of Cam Talbot on Thursday.

Brossoit came in for the third period with his team trailing 4-2, but ended up victorious five unanswered goals later. Talbot has been pulled in consecutive contests, and could be feeling fatigue down the stretch given that he leads the league in ice time. Don't be surprised if Brossoit gets his number called a few more times down the stretch so the starter can rest.
1:37 am (EST)
Andrej Sekera Headshot

Sekera contributed a goal and two assists in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Avalanche.

Sekera scored his eighth goal with 31 seconds left in the opening frame, then piled on two assists during his team's five-goal third-period barrage. He set a season high with three points, and this was the veteran blueliner's first multi-point effort since a two-goal performance on Jan. 26. Sekera's plus-2 rating in this one also pushed his season mark to plus-10, which is just one short of his 2010-11 career best.
1:33 am (EST)
Patrick Kane Headshot

Kane scored a power-play goal and converted in the shootout during Thursday's 3-2 win over the Stars.

Kane and Artemi Panarin both scored on Kari Lehtonen in the shootout, while only Tyler Seguin was able to solve Corey Crawford. The skilled winger's seventh power-play tally was also accompanied by a team-high five shots on goal. He's over the 80-point mark for the second consecutive campaign after getting there only once in his first eight.
