Matt Moore Headshot

QB Matt Moore (concussion) is expected to be ready by Week 1.

Moore has been out with a concussion since Friday August 19th. It looks like he will be ready to go in week one to back up Ryan Tannehill at quarterback for Miami.

Adam Jones Headshot

CB Adam Jones will not play in Sunday's preseason game after apparently injuring himself during pregame warmups.

The Bengals re-signed CB Adam Jones to a three-year contract this offseason. "Pacman" was one of the 3-4 best cornerbacks left on the market, and Cincinnati will be without him in tonight's preseason game. Hopefully this injury isn't serious and doesn't jeopardize his week one availability.

Blidi Wreh-Wilson Headshot

Titans have released CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson.

Wreh-Wilson was an 11-game starter in 2014, but not an effective one, getting burned relentlessly. He will be missed in DFS, however. It's never a good sign when a multi-year veteran gets cut loose at this juncture of camp.

David Harris Headshot

Jets expect LB David Harris (shoulder) to be ready for their season opener against the Bengals.

Harris left Saturday's preseason game with a shoulder injury after getting in a pileup at the end of the first half. Harris underwent X-rays after the game, which came back negative. He is expected to be ready to go week one against the Bengals.

Johnny Giavotella Headshot

Johnny Giavotella has been outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake after clearing waivers.

Giavotella is hitting just .260 on the year with just 6 home runs. After clearing waivers he will be sent down to Triple-A, but that doesn't mean he's not eligible to come back up to the 40-man roster. The Angels want to evaluate their other options at 2B so he still has a chance to join the team for the last month of the season.

Stepfan Taylor Headshot

RB Stepfan Taylor will not return to Sunday's preseason game after injuring his right knee.

Taylor finished the games with 31 rushing yards on 8 carries, but he's been ruled out for the rest of the game after injuring his knee. There's no word yet on the severity of the injury. Taylor is pretty far down the RB depth chart so his injury couldn't come at a worse time. His best chance is to make the roster as a special teams contributor.

Rueben Randle Headshot

Eagles have released WR Rueben Randle.

The Eagles made cuts to their roster to trim it down to 75 today and Randle joins fellow WR Chris Givens among those who didn't make the cut. It was a pretty telling sign when the Eagles went out and traded for a younger receiver in Dorial Green-Beckham. It looks like the Eagles are ready to move forward with Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Dorial Green-Beckham, and Josh Huff as the core of their receiving group. Randle has proven in the past he can produce on the field, but he's had issues in the past with his off-field work ethic.

Steve Geltz Headshot

Rays have optioned Steven Geltz to Triple-A Durham.

Geltz's time with Tampa was short lived as he was called up just yesterday as the Rays optioned Mike Mahtook to Triple-A. Geltz came into Sunday with a 6.75 ERA and the long ball has been an issue for Geltz in 2016. In 20 innings of work heading into Sunday afternoon's game, Geltz had given up 10 home runs. By being sent back down to Durham the Rays are able to activate Alex Cobb off the disabled list.

Alex Cobb Headshot

Alex Cobb will be activated off of the disabled list on Monday.

Cobb will be activated off the DL as the Rays have optioned Steve Geltz to Triple-A Durham. Cobb hasn't pitched at all in 2016 and will make his first start of the season next weekend against the Blue Jays which is a tough match to stream Cobb in. The Blue Jays have hit 139 of their 186 home runs this season off righties so it's not an ideal matchup for Cobb to make his 2016 debut in.

Junior Guerra Headshot

Junior Guerra (elbow) feels fine the day after his rehab start and plans to start Friday's game against the Pirates.

Guerra's rehabbing as gone as hoped and he is set to be activated off the DL on Friday in time to start against Pittsburgh. The righty has put together a really nice year for himself to the tune of a 7-3 record with a 2.93 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. He stands to be a very streamable pitcher in season-long fantasy baseball leagues especially with the playoffs approaching.
