After a traumatic few weeks with serious injuries to several star players, we have returned to some semblance of normalcy in the fantasy baseball universe. That isn’t to say that your teams aren’t impacted by the newest rash of injuries and the implications they bring. But that is the beauty of fantasy baseball. Everyone is subject to the same risk of their players’ health betraying them. But those who can compensate for injuries are the ones who will ultimately set themselves apart from the rest of the competition. Opening Day is right around the corner as teams start paring down their rosters, and players with numbers resembling wide receivers are getting fewer and far between. This spring has had its fair share of injuries to significant players, so pay close attention because this could affect your upcoming fantasy baseball drafts. While everyone is caught up in the details and fallout from the MLB trade deadline, It's important to make sure you stay on top of all the latest injuries and the potential impact on your fantasy baseball lineups. Fortunately, since our last update, the injuries have been mild and the news to report isn't as devastating as it has been in the past. That doesn't mean you can ignore the day to day stuff as you never know when something considered minor can turn into something more. Here's a look at the recent injuries from over the weekend.
We get it. The injury bug is hungry. He’s already fat, having feasted on a number of players all around MLB, and apparently his appetite is insatiable. Enough already! I know that my fantasy teams can’t take much more and I’m sure most of you out there are suffering as well. Frustration levels are getting as high as your waiver wire is getting thin. So let’s roam around the league and see who’s out, who’s banged up, and who’s on the mend.
