It’s only been a few days since the last Injury Report and already, there’s a full list of players joining the ranks of MLB’s walking wounded. That doesn’t bode well for fantasy owners who are going to have to spend a significant amount of time sifting through the free agents on the waiver wire, looking for quality replacement candidates. Obviously, some players are lost for longer periods of time, but even the most minor of injuries needs to have your attention as you never know when something minor can grow to something major. Bumps, bruises, breaks, sprains, and setbacks, we’ve got ‘em all here. Let’s get to it…
We’re just a few days into the unofficial second half and already we’re seeing a few dings and dents. You’d like to think that time off for the All Star Break would have given these guys a chance to build up their strength and stamina, but the injury bug is a sneaky, little creature and strikes without warning. Fortunately, this early on, the damage isn’t too severe, but let’s take a look at some of the latest injuries around MLB that are affecting fantasy rosters everywhere.
We get it. The injury bug is hungry. He’s already fat, having feasted on a number of players all around MLB, and apparently his appetite is insatiable. Enough already! I know that my fantasy teams can’t take much more and I’m sure most of you out there are suffering as well. Frustration levels are getting as high as your waiver wire is getting thin. So let’s roam around the league and see who’s out, who’s banged up, and who’s on the mend. We’ll throw in some suggested replacements if we can and see if we can’t help keep you off the fantasy ledge. Let’s get to it…
Personally, I just think that players are getting weaker. Everyday more and more injuries and nagging injuries are coming up across the league and it is getting to the point where before long, I'll have to list each and every major league player on the injury report. What's worse for fantasy leaguers is that one of the few remaining healthy third basemen is now down for the count leaving the thinnest position practically barren. With that, let's go around the league and catch up on who is hurt, who is injured and who is out.
It's getting harder and harder to keep up with all of the injuries happening around the league these days. It seems like almost every player has some sort of nagging symptoms that keep them out of the lineup for days on end. This is the place to come however for the most up to date and detailed fantasy baseball injury updates. Tonight we will talk about some impact players that are on their way back to the starting lineup and also a few players who won't be on the field anytime soon. Let's get down to business.
It seems like every single day there is another injury to a big name fantasy baseball player. It also appears to be going by position as we've already seen a couple third basemen go down followed by an outfield banishment and then a handful of starting pitchers who have been sent for MRI's and further evaluation. This week it is closers who are in danger as Jose Contreras and Neftali Feliz have already gone on the disabled list due to arm injuries. So, let's take a spin around the league and get an update on who is out, who is down and who is coming back real soon.
