It has been a miserable year for pitching thus far as several big names have struggled mightily. Compounding that problem is the fact that so many pitchers have been dealing with injuries. This week is no different. It is clear that you will have to be very creative if you want to remain competitive in the pitching categories because there is very little depth available in the free agent pool. So without further adieu, here is the Week 7 edition of the Walking Wounded.
After a traumatic few weeks with serious injuries to several star players, we have returned to some semblance of normalcy in the fantasy baseball universe. That isn’t to say that your teams aren’t impacted by the newest rash of injuries and the implications they bring. But that is the beauty of fantasy baseball. Everyone is subject to the same risk of their players’ health betraying them. But those who can compensate for injuries are the ones who will ultimately set themselves apart from the rest of the competition. In a season marred with significant injuries to big time players, it is refreshing to report some good news regarding the return of some of these players. If you have been able to tread water and withstand the loss of some of these players in your fantasy league, then getting them back will be equivalent to pulling off a blockbuster trade.
