A couple of teams lost some key contributors already in just the first few days of the season while other teams hope to get back some key ones. A young Florida slugger has yet another leg injury while the Cardinals outfielder goes under the knife. The Orioles lose their promsiing young lefty only to replace him with another. The Mariners look like their closer will be returning real soon and the Mets hope their bust from last year will return to form. All in this edition of the Fantasy Alarm injury report.
We have an updates on starters around the league and potential closer opening just in time for those final drafts. A young gun in San Diego suffers a bump in the road while a cagey veteran finally gets some answers in Cincinnati. There are plenty of pitchers who have their status for opening day up in the air or who will not be ready at all. Luckily for all of them, they have avoided serious injuries at this time. Ozzie Guillen has voiced his frustrations while the Brewers and the Bluejays hope their young guns have avoided some real scares. There are big names finally making their spring training debuts in Los Angeles, Boston and Texas. All of them have a decent shot to be ready for opening day barring any setbacks. Some high impact fantasy players are recovering nicely from previous injuries while some other big names are struggling. The Cardinals seemed to have avoided another disaster while the Red Sox are pleased with the progress of their newly acquired slugger. The Los Angeles Angels maybe in the market for a bat while they await their slugger to return. Other promising free agent signings are battling injury and age questions in this installment of the injury updates.
A big name free agent signing has gone down with an injury along with some once proven pitchers battling back from significant injuries. There also seems to be a non-baseball injury taking down a talented outfielder in Seattle. The Braves are hoping one of their best returns to form for an improved line-up.
