Brewers reliever Will Smith tossed a perfect inning Sunday in his final rehab appearance with Double-A Biloxi.

Smith hasn't appeared in the 2016 season after suffering a torn LCL in his knee in spring training. He was expected to compete for the closer role this season before going down with the injury. When Smith returns to the Brewers this week, he will have the chance to showcase his stuff in a set-up or even part-time closer role.

Sergio Romo (elbow) could be activated off the 15-day disabled list on Thursday.

Romo went on the disables list on April 14th with a flexor strain in his right elbow and appears to be near a return to the Giants bullpen. Romo has pitched well in Triple-A so far without any complications.

J.J. Hardy (foot) could begin baseball activities on Friday.

Hardy was hitting ,244 with 11 runs, two home runs and eight RBI at the time of his injury. While on the disabled list Manny Machado has been playing shortstop which fantasy owners are very grateful. With Hardy beginning baseball activities it seems likely he will also be nearing a rehab stint which could put his return to the Orioles sometime in mid-June.

Yovani Gallardo (shoulder) is expected to make at least two more rehab starts.

Gallardo has been on the DL since the end of April and while he may be nearing a return to the Orioles rotation there is little fantasy value here as he was just 1-1 with a 7.00 ERA over his first four starts of the season so prospective owners may want to take a wait and see approach when it comes to adding him to your fantasy rotations.

Ryan Braun (neck) is not in the Brewers lineup on Monday.

This will be the second straight game that Braun will not have started due to this neck injury. Fantasy owners will need to continue to monitor this situation but for now there are no reports of a potential disable list stint.

Dennis Pitta believes he'll be a factor for the Ravens this season after drawing praise in May from coach John Harbaugh.

Pitta last played in 2014 where his season was cut short due to injury. After missing all of the 2015 season it appears as though Pitta is back to full strength and ready to reclaim his starting tight end spot. When healthy Pitta has proven in the past to be a favorite target of quarterback Joe Flacco however with just seven total games under his belt over the past three seasons it will be interesting to see how he handles the rigors of the NFL season.
