Ryan McDonagh Headshot

McDonagh scored his first goal since Dec. 23 in the first period of Sunday's 2-1 win over Washington.

He'd been ice cold recently -- four points in a 12-game span entering Sunday's action -- and the goals have certainly not been flooding in at any point this year, but the Rangers' captain has still nearly equaled his production from the last two seasons. With 33 points in 57 contests, McDonagh just needs one more decent hot streak to beat out his career high of 43, set back in 2013-14.

Jakub Vrana Headshot

Vrana was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Sunday.

Vrana did not draw into a game during this stint with the big club and, indeed, hasn't drawn into a game since Dec. 27. With the team's next game not until Wednesday, the Caps are likely sending Vrana down to the minors to get some playing time and he could be recalled before the next game considering they only have 12 healthy forwards currently on the roster.

Henrik Lundqvist Headshot

Lundqvist put a stop to 31 of 32 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over Washington.

After seeing his five-game winning streak end in his last start, Lundqvist bounced right back with this big-time effort that featured a bunch of huge saves against the NHL's top team. The Swede has been in vintage form over the last month, posting a 9-2-0 record with a spectacular .937 save percentage in his last 12 games dating back to Jan. 19. Things were looking rocky for a while there, but if Lundqvist keeps dominating, he can still fix his substandard ratios.

Vidal Nuno Headshot

Nuno was traded to the Orioles on Sunday.

Baltimore sent Ryan Moseley, a 22-year-old pitching prospect, to the Dodgers in exchange for Nuno. Nuno has experience as a starter, but has been used more frequently as a reliever over the last two seasons. He's consistently demonstrated fantastic control, as he has a career walk rate of 6.1 percent and posted a mark of 4.5 percent in 2016. However, with a career K-rate of 19.5 percent, prospective owners shouldn't expect much in terms of strikeouts this coming season.

Philipp Grubauer Headshot

Grubauer stopped 28 of the 30 shots the Rangers sent his way Sunday afternoon, but he got stuck with a 2-1 loss.

The German backup doesn't get to play all that often behind Braden Holtby -- mostly in back-to-back situations like this one -- but when he's been between the pipes, he's performed well. Through 16 appearances this year, Grubauer owns a sparkling 10-4-2 record with a 1.98 GAA and .932 save percentage, so the Caps don't hesitate to turn his way when Holtby needs a break.

Lukas Sedlak Headshot

Sedlak (lower body) will not suit up for Sunday's matchup with the Predators, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports.

Sedlak misses his first game after getting knocked out of Friday's contest with the injury. It comes at a decent time though, as the Blue Jackets head into their bye week and won't play again until Saturday, giving the Czech center plenty of time to rest up. For Sunday at least, Scott Hartnell will slot onto the fourth line alongside Sam Gagner and Matt Calvert.

Kyle Quincey Headshot

Quincey (upper body) will not suit up for Sunday's road game against the Islanders, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Quincey will miss his sixth straight game and remains without a clear timetable for return. He doesn't do a whole lot of scoring from the blue line anyhow -- he was riding a four-game point-less streak before going down with the injury -- so his continued absence isn't likely to affect the majority of fantasy owners.

Juuse Saros Headshot

Saros will defend the crease for Sunday's game in Columbus.

Saros draws his first start since before the Predators' bye week and will look to turn it around after his previous three starts resulted in losses. That could be easier said than done against an excellent Blue Jackets offense that currently ranks fifth in the NHL with 3.19 goals per game.

Cam Ward Headshot

Ward is expected to start Sunday's game against the Maple Leafs.

Ward is slated to start his third straight game despite dropping his last two, one of which was an absolute heartbreaker to a bad offense. Assuming he does get the nod Sunday, the 32-year-old will have a chance to turn it around on home ice where he has been a lot better this season, posting 15 wins, a 2.25 GAA, and a .921 save percentage. He'll give it a try against a Toronto team that averages 3.09 goals per game, but will be without young star Mitch Marner (upper body).

John Gibson Headshot

Gibson is anticipated to start Sunday's game against the Kings.

Gibson let three shots past him in Friday's loss to the Panthers, but will look for a quick turnaround Sunday. He'll look for a better result as he prepares to face a Kings club notching just 2.16 goals per game away from the Staples Center this season.
