Julio Urias Headshot

Urias was officially optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

It had previously been reported that Urias would not be on the Opening Day roster, but the Dodgers made the move official during their final round of cuts Thursday. The Dodgers will reportedly limit Urias' innings in the early portion of the season in an effort to keep him fresh down the stretch. He'll likely be back with the major league club later this spring or early in the summer.

Robert Wilson Headshot

Wilson was reassigned to minor league camp Thursday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Dodgers made their final round of roster cuts Thursday in advance of Opening Day, and despite a decent showing at the dish this spring (.275/.326/.575), Wilson will head down to the minors. With Wilson no longer up with the Dodgers, the club will carry Yasmani Grandal and Austin Barnes on the Opening Day roster.
8:08 pm (EST)
Trayce Thompson Headshot

Thompson was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Dodgers made their final round of cuts Thursday with Opening Day looming, optioning Chris Taylor, Julio Urias, and Thompson to Triple-A. Thompson slashed .226/.351/.323 over 31 spring at-bats and struck out 12 times. With Thompson down at Oklahoma City, the Dodgers' standard outfield will likely consist of Andrew Toles, Joc Pederson, and Yasiel Puig.

Kevon Looney Headshot

Looney (hip) is doubtful to take part in Friday's action against the Rockets.

After missing Wednesday's win against the Spurs with a left hip strain, the Warriors are doubtful that Looney will be ready for Friday's tilt against the Rockets. He's spent most of the season bouncing back and forth between the NBA and the D-League, so his probable absence likely won't affect the fantasy climate.
7:51 pm (EST)
Ryan Getzlaf Headshot

Getzlaf (lower body) took line rushes in pregame warmups, indicating that he will likely return for Thursday night's game in Winnipeg, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Getzlaf is slated to reclaim his spot on Anaheim's top line Thursday after missing Tuesday's game in Vancouver. The 31-year-old has eight assists in his last four games and will look to keep up the momentum as the Ducks continue the fight for playoff positioning.
7:49 pm (EST)
Chris Taylor Headshot

Taylor was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, J.P. Hoonstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

He had been in consideration for one of the Dodgers' final bench spots thanks to his positional versatility and strong showing in spring training (.370/.500/.522), but the club ultimately decided to send him down to Triple-A for more regular playing time. With Taylor moving down to Triple-A, it appears Enrique Hernandez will break camp with the big league club.
7:47 pm (EST)
Craig Smith Headshot

Smith will not suit up for Thursday night's game against the Maple Leafs due to an upper-body injury.

It's an unfortunately timed injury from a momentum perspective for Smith, as he had tallied eight points, a plus-9 rating, and 10 shots on goal before being ruled out Thursday. Kevin Fiala is in line to take Smith's spot on the right wing of Nashville's second line Thursday.
7:42 pm (EST)
Will Smith Headshot

Smith (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery Thursday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Although it's very early, the current assessment is that Smith will be back in the majors in May of 2018. More information regarding his return should become available as he gets further in the rehab process.
7:28 pm (EST)
Aleksander Barkov Headshot

Barkov will not play Thursday's game in Montreal due to an upper-body injury.

Barkov has been absolutely outstanding since returning from a 15-game absence, notching 12 goals, 13 assists, and 54 shots on goal in his last 25 games, so this injury is horribly timed for fantasy owners in the thick of the playoffs. Those owners will want to check back for updates on the young center's status ahead of Saturday's game in Boston.
7:25 pm (EST)
Andreas Athanasiou Headshot

Athanasiou will be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Lightning,

Athanasiou will slot into a bottom-six role against Tampa Bay, skating with Dylan Larkin and Justin Abdelkader on the Red Wings' third line. The 22-year-old speedster has been hot recently, tallying seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last eight games, so he's worth consideration as a potential value play in daily contests Thursday.
