Fantasy Baseball Bullpen Report: May 2

Jonathan Cooper's fifth-year option was declined.

The Patriots are making this a "prove-it" year for the newly acquired, former seventh overall pick, as he has been largely disappointing so far in his career. Cooper will certainly be set up for success operating in this highly-functional New England offense, so don't be surprised if he re-ups with the Pats after the 2016 season, despite failing to have his fifth-year option extended.

Robbie Erlin (elbow) had an MRI Monday, but no results yet.

The 25-year-old has struggled through 15.2 innings so far this season, but it was discovered that he had been dealing with some shoulder discomfort, so he was subsequently shutdown. Once the results come back from the MRI, we should know everything we need to know about his potential going forward.

Matt Buschmann has been outrighted to Triple-A Reno.

No worries coming from the side of fantasy owners, as he held zero value during his time in the bigs.

Domingo Santana (shoulder) has been scratched from Monday's lineup.

Santana has been playing some good baseball so far this season, however the Brewers will be giving him some rest on Monday night so he can get his shoulder right. Alex Presley will get the start in his place, as he will leadoff and play right field against Jered Weaver and the Angels.

Glen Perkins is continuing the strengthening his shoulder.

There hasn't been any sort of timetable released for Perkins return as he's yet to even start throwing yet. We don't even know when he'll start throwing as that hasn't been given to us either. What we do know is Kevin Jepsen is the closer if the Twins ever decide to lead a game by three runs or less headed into the ninth inning.

Gordon Beckham (hamstring) is nearing a rehab assignment.

Beckham was able to run at full speed on Sunday and is close to starting his rehab assignment. The Braves will push him through it quickly and he could be back for the team's weekend series.

Trevor Plouffe (intercostal strain) will be activated from the 15-day disabled list for Tuesday's game.

Plouffe was one of the only Twins players that got off to a hot start and of course they lose him to injury for the next 15 days. However, Plouffe is ready to return and will presume the bag at third everyday. Plouffe's ability to mash north of 20 home runs keeps him relevant in fantasy.
