Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the White Sox 7-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Garcia is starting to find his power swing and that means good things for White Sox and Fantasy owners. When Garcia took the Red Sox Henry Owens deep in the fourth inning, it was his second home run in the last five games. Avisail is currently riding a six-game hit straight in which he’s batting 10-for-22 with two homers, five RBI and five runs scored. Jackie Bradley Jr. went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in the Red Sox 7-3 win over the White Sox on Thursday night.

The finger must be doing ok because Jackie hit just his second home run of the season on Thursday night. He was questionable coming into the game after Dioner Navarro hit him on a pickoff attempt at third base on Wednesday night but after testing it out, he felt good to go. Bradley Jr. has a batting line of .277/.337/.489 with 14 RBI through 27 games this season. The Red Sox travel to the Bronx to start a weekend series with the Yankees. Bradley Jr. is 3-for-7 with a double lifetime against Michael Pineda, who takes the hill on Friday.

The night off seemed to help Hanley who parked his fifth home run of the season on Thursday night. Ramirez had the night off Wednesday due to flu-like symptoms. The young starter gave up two home runs on the night and one of them was to Hanley in the third. Ramirez has homered in back to back games and hit safely in nine straight games. Erik Johnson allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings in the White Sox 7-3 loss to the Red Sox on Thursday night.

Well, that was quick! Johnson was with the White Sox for less than 12 hours before getting sent back down to Triple-A. The 26-year-old did not look great on Thursday night allowing four earned runs over just five innings of work. We should see him again at some point this season but he should be off all fantasy radars.

Henry Owens allowed two runs on two hits and six walks while striking out two over three innings in the Red Sox 7-3 win over the White Sox on Thursday night.

Control continues to be the problem for Henry Owens issuing another six free passes on Thursday night. He has now given up 13 walks in just 12 1/3 innings of work. He did allow only two hits but one was a solo home run to Avisail Garcia. Owens’ ERA stands at a robust 5.11 and his WHIP has ballooned to 2.11 through three starts. We are slated to see Owens on Tuesday against the Athletics but there is a slim chance that Eduardo Rodriguez could be ready in time. The Red Sox would love to send Owens back down to the minors as soon as possible.

He currently has six more extra-base hits (22) than he does strike outs (16). He basically provided all of the offense for the Astros on Thursday night. Steve Cishek pitched a scoreless ninth inning allowing just one hit in the Mariners 6-3 win over the Astros on Thursday night.

The Mariners have to be thrilled with what they’ve gotten from Steve Cishek who they signed in December of 2015 for bullpen depth. He has been nearly perfect this season notching his ninth save of the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.64 and maintained his strike out per inning average. The Mariners continue their series with the Astros on Friday when Taiquan Walker faces Doug Fister.
