Goran Dragic Headshot

Goran Dragic said he sat out Saturday's practice due to jumper's knee.

The Heat will let him recover from his knee issue, as he is slated to be their starting point guard. That assumes that the Heat do not trade him, as has been rumored. The knee issue may interfere with those plans, however, so the Heat will want him to show he is ready to play sooner than later.

Matt Holliday Headshot

Matt Holliday says he does intend to play somewhere next season.

It may not be with St. Louis, as the team has declined his option for 2017. He can still be productive in the outfield and does not necessarily have his options limited to becoming a DH in the American League. Injuries have limited his playing time over the past two seasons, but he has all winter to heal and rest up for next season.

Alex Boone Headshot

Alex Boone is practicing again on Saturday.

He was limited to just 19 snaps in Week 3, and the victory over the Panthers. His absence from the offensive line weakens the Viking run game, as his backup Zac Kerin is not as accomplished as Boone at left guard.

Mike Pouncey Headshot

Dolphins are hopeful Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey returns in Week 5.

Getting their starting center back would be a step in the right direction to improve the awful Miami running attack. They were manhandled by the Bengals on Thursday night, but with their best run blocker back on the field, things should begin to improve.

Avery Bradley Headshot

Avery Bradley says It's gonna be hard for teams to score on the Celtics this season.

With a healthy Bradley on the court, this is no empty boast. Bradley and his backup at shooting guard, Marcus Smart are both strong defenders, and Bradley was honored with a First Team All-Defense selection last season.

Noah Syndergaard Headshot

Noah Syndergaard is due to pitch the regular-season finale on Sunday in Philadelphia, but could be limited to 25-pitches if Mets clinch by then.

The Mets would like to have Syndergaard in reserve for their post-season efforts, and are thus hoping that they can clinch a wild card slot with Bartolo Colon on the mound Saturday. With a patchwork starting rotation due to injuries to key members of the pitching staff, the Mets will rely on Thor to continue their playoff run well into October.
