Manager Bryan Price said Jose Peraza will stay up as long as he can find him regular at-bats.

Price went on to say that he thinks that he will be able to find Peraza at-bats on a regular basis, which is a good sign for Peraza. The 22-year-old has struggled at the plate at the Major League level this year, hitting just .231 with no extra base hits in 11 games. Peraza does have the ability to play all over the field, which certainly will help him stay on the roster for now.

Manager Ned Yost says Alex Gordon is feeling good and will return to the team soon.

Gordon, who has been on the 15-day disabled list with a wrist injury, seems to be on track to make his return to the Royals at some point this weekend. He'll play tonight for Triple-A Omaha, and then will be re-evaluated by the Royals staff. Barring anything unforeseen we should see him in a Royals uniform again within the next couple of days. Gordon was hitting just .211 with four home runs and 10 runs batted in this season before going down with his wrist injury.

CC Sabathia walking gingerly on his right ankle after Wednesday's game, but manager Joe Girardi doesn't expect him to miss a start.

Sabathia rolled his ankle twice in the Yankees game against the Rockies on Wednesday, and was taken out of the game when he rolled it the second time. Manager Joe Girardi expects him to make his next turn in the rotation, which jives with what Sabathia said post game on Wednesday. The 35-year-old left-hander has been spectacular for the Yankees this season, posting a 5-4 record with a 2.71 ERA in 2016.
