Consider his brief appearance on Wednesday as a tune-up for Saturday's start. He only threw an inning, so he will be good to go on Saturday. He will face the Oakland Athletics in his start on Saturday.
Can you blame the guy, he got rocked in the elbow. The X-rays are negative, which is reassuring. At the very least, consider him day-to-day until more information on his status is available.
It's going to be another long season for the San Francisco 49ers, especially if Blaine Gabbert is at the helm. Gabbert is nothing more than a low-end QB2 in fantasy football this season. In eight games last year, he threw for 2,031 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
