Derrick Rose Headshot

Derrick Rose's trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 4 in Los Angeles.

A woman is accusing Rose and the others of drugging and raping her in August 2013. The court papers also stated Rose "asked her to bring sex toys and repeatedly pestered her for threesomes and foursomes. This woman was romantically linked to Rose but court papers stated "she always shot down his requests for multiple partners," as well as other sexual activities. Rose's filing described the case as "pure and simple extortion." October 4th also happens to be the Knicks 2016-17 preseason opener against the Houston Rockets.

Covelli Crisp Headshot

Coco Crisp has been officially traded to the Indians.

The Indians really needed the outfield depth with Michael Brantley out for the remainder of the season. Also, Abraham Almonte can't suit up until October due to his PED suspension from February, and top outfield prospect Bradley Zimmer is apparently not quite ready. The veteran outfielder is hitting .234/.299/.399 with 11 runs and seven stolen bases in 102 games this season for the Athletics.

Antonio Brown Headshot

Update: Steelers moved $4M from 2017 to 2016 for Antonio Brown.

The Steelers are getting Brown at a discount when you look at his production over the past few seasons. There is no doubt that he would become one of the league's highest paid receivers if he were to hit the open market today. Brown has two seasons left on his contract, but we have no doubt that a mega-extension is coming his way next offseason for the 28-year-old.

Antonio Brown Headshot

Steelers and Antonio Brown are on the verge of a restructured contract.

The deal is reportedly already done. Pittsburgh and Antonio Brown have agreed to move four million of his 2017 salary up to 2016. The leagues leader in receptions was set to make $6.25 million this season, but now will get just over $10 million. The Steelers are still getting Brown at a discount when you look at his production over the past few seasons. There is no doubt that he would become one of the league's highest paid receivers if he were to hit the open market today. Brown has two seasons left on his contract, but we have no doubt that a mega-extension is coming his way next offseason at 28 years old.

Covelli Crisp Headshot

Coco Crisp trade to the Indians should be completed in next few hours. He'll likely report Thursday.

This deal is all but done, Crisp has already waived his 10 & 5 rights. The veteran outfielder is hitting .234/.299/.399 with 11 runs and seven stolen bases in 102 games this season for the Athletics. The Indians really could use outfield depth with Michael Brantley out for the remainder of the season. Abraham Almonte can't suit up until October due to his PED suspension from February, and top outfield prospect Bradley Zimmer is apparently not quite ready.

Devin Fuller Headshot

Falcons officially place rookie WR Devin Fuller (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve.

This is a shame because he was suppose to be the replacement for Devin Hester as the team's primary kick returner. He will need season ending surgery on his shoulder. He was a seventh round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Miguel Cabrera Headshot

Miguel Cabrera is out of the Tigers lineup Wednesday.

There does not appear to be anything wrong with the future Hall of Famer, but a regularly scheduled day of rest. Jarrod Saltalamacchia will get the spot start at first base and bat eighth against the White Sox left-hander Chris Sale.

Sean Lee Headshot

Cowboys believe Sean Lee will be ready for Opening Day.

Sean Lee did not participate in Tuesday's practice with a knee injury. The MRI came back negative and the Cowboys do not believe that the injury is serious. The Cowboys will take it as cautiously as possible with the cornerstone of their defense.

Stephen Strasburg Headshot

Stephen Strasburg should be good to go when he's eligible to come off the disabled list.

The right-hander has been on the disabled list since August 22, but it’s very encouraging that Strasburg should only miss the allotted time. The Nationals and Strasburg downplayed the injury and they seem to be correct. Strasburg has a 3.59 ERA to go with a WHIP of 1.11 and a 179:44 K:BB ratio this season and should be a huge lift for fantasy owners down the stretch.
