Lance McCullers allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits with six strikeouts and two walks over five innings against the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

The 22-year-old McCullers has had a fantastic season for the Astros on their way to the AL wild card game. He has dropped off a bit since August, but McCullers still finished the regular season with a 3.22 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, .226 BAA and 129:43 K/BB ratio over 125 2/3 innings. McCullers should continue to be a nice arm on the Astros’ pitching staff down the road of his career. Analysis: Zack Carpenter
