Anders Nilsson Headshot

Nilsson will make his first start in four games Monday against the Blue Jackets.

The 27-year-old backstop has only started five games since the beginning of February, in which he posted a 3.41 GAA and .910 save percentage. Because this is a small sample size spread out over two months, there's just not clear evidence of fantasy value with Nilsson. With 23 other goalies starting Tuesday, keeping him on the bench is a smart option.

Cameron Payne Headshot

Payne was assigned Tuesday to the D-League's Windy City Bulls.

Payne played just two minutes during Sunday's matchup against the Bucks in his short stint back in the NBA, recording two rebounds. He'll be sent back down to the D-League in time to participate in the team's Tuesday tilt against the Erie BayHawks. He's averaging 18.0 points and 5.0 assists across 22.9 minutes per game in four appearances with the Windy City Bulls this season.

Al Jefferson Headshot

Jefferson will miss at least two weeks with a sprained left ankle.

An X-ray on his left ankle came back negative earleir in the week, but the sprain appears to be severe enough where the Pacers still want to give Jefferson at least a couple weeks off for further recovery. That two-week timetable rules him out for the next eight games, with his next opportunity to take the court being the team's regular season finale, which is an Apr. 12 matchup against the Hawks. The Pacers are fighting for one of the final spots in the Eastern Conference playoffs, so if they end up missing out, there's a chance Jefferson doesn't play another game the rest of the season.
5:17 pm (EST)
Trevor Bauer Headshot

Bauer is scheduled to start the Indians' fifth game of the season, April 8 at Arizona, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

The Indians have an off day during the first week of the season but they do not plan on skipping any of their five starters. With that, Bauer will be sandwiched between Josh Tomlin and Corey Kluber in the weekend series against the Diamondbacks. Bauer has given up 13 runs on 31 hits (including five homers) with an 18:6 K:BB in 24.2 Cactus League innings this spring.
5:16 pm (EST)
Rodney Stuckey Headshot

Stuckey's (knee) MRI revealed a left patellar tendon strain and he is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Stuckey left Sunday's matchup against the 76ers with a sore knee, prompting the team to schedule an MRI in an effort to get an official diagnosis. With the results coming back positive, the Pacers will hold him out for four to six weeks to recover. With that timetable, he won't be back before many fantasy formats' playoffs come to a close, so Stuckey is likely a strong candidate to drop in the majority of leagues. In his absence, Monta Ellis, Aaron Brooks, and C.J. Miles will probably see additional run.
5:10 pm (EST)
Steven Matz Headshot

The Mets want Matz (elbow) to throw an 80-pitch bullpen session before having him make a start, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.

The club said that they'd like to have Matz participate in said bullpen session either Wednesday or Thursday. However, considering he threw both Monday and Tuesday, it seems more likely that the workout will take place Thursday. If Matz is able to successfully complete the upcoming bullpen session, he'd reduce the likelihood of starting the season with a brief DL stint, so owners should monitor his status over the coming days.
5:02 pm (EST)
Anthony Rendon Headshot

Rendon is sitting out of Tuesday's spring game after fouling a ball off his calf Monday, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.

Rendon indicated his calf was feeling much better Tuesday, but the Nationals are still choosing to err on the side of caution with their starting third baseman. Consider him day-to-day until the Nationals note otherwise.
4:53 pm (EST)
Ronnie Price Headshot

Price (lower leg) is questionable for Tuesday's matchup against the Hawks, K.L. Chouinard of ATLand29.com reports.

Price has missed the past five contests with a lower leg contusion and his status for Tuesday's game is in question. As a result, Tyler Ulis will probably continue to pick up heavy minutes at the point guard slot if Price ends up being sidelined once more.
4:48 pm (EST)
Leandro Barbosa Headshot

Barbosa (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hawks, K.L. Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.

Barbosa sat out Sunday's matchup against the Hornets with a left hamstring injury and his availability for Tuesday's game is in question as he's now dealing with right hamstring spasms. In his absence, Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker will probably continue to pick up heavy minutes at the guard slots along with Ronnie Price (leg) -- who's listed as questionable -- if he ends up playing.
4:46 pm (EST)
Chris Tierney Headshot

Tierney (upper body) is in line to play Tuesday against the Rangers, CSN Bay Area reports.

In his anticipated return to action, look for Tierney to center the Sharks' fourth line Tuesday, flanked by Timo Meier and Joonas Donskoi. The 22-year-old's fantasy impact has been modest this season, as he recorded just 18 points and four PIM in 73 games to date.
