This was the plan all along for the Nuggets after it was announced that both Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic would be starting in their front court. Faried is a solid source of rebounds and points when in the game and could be the leader of the second unit which will give him decent fantasy value if proven true.
This is simply a depth move for the Packers and no fantasy value is being gained here for anybody on that roster.
Fantasy owners were likely hoping that Moncrief's return to practice would have been a contact practice but this update makes it less likely he suits up in Week 8 against the Chiefs. It is encouraging however that he is finally back at practice and a return could be coming soon.
Roberts figures to be the primary backup point guard to Kemba Walker this season but if he is unable to go the Hornets will likely use Raymond Sessions in that role against the Bucks on Wednesday.
With Kaminsky out of the lineup the Hornets will likely use a rotation of Marvin Williams and at times Cody Zeller at power forward on Wednesday against the Bucks with Williams getting the start and Zeller occasionally playing along side center Roy Hibbert who he will also back up.
With Allen out of the lineup for the season opener the Grizzlies will likely turn to James Ennis to start the season at shooting guard against the Timberwolves. Ennis last season averaged 7.2 points, 1.0 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 three-pointers over 15 minutes per game last season.
Zeller did not play in most of the preseason which led to Roy Hibbert taking over as the primary center however with news that Zeller will be active on Wednesday it looks like there will be a time share at the position which will hurt both players fantasy value.
