Ryan Johansen Headshot

Johansen stretched his point streak to three games and six assists with a three-helper effort in a 5-2 victory over the Capitals on Saturday.

Fantasy owners expecting goals have been painfully disappointed by Johansen the Predator. He has 46 points, but just nine have been goals. Still, this little streak has put him on a near 60-point pace and that would be fourth-straight season at that level if he can accelerate his game.

Rick Porcello Headshot

Porcello will throw a two-inning simulated game Sunday, Scott Lauber of ESPN.com reports.

Manager John Farrell hasn't named a starter for Opening Day, but Porcello is in the mix. If he were to work every fifth day after his sim game, he would make six spring starters and be lined up for the Opening Day assignment April 3. He won the 2016 American League Cy Young award and normally would be a shoo-in for the assignment, but the team added Chris Sale in the offseason to their embarrassingly rich starting staff.
10:17 pm (EST)
Roman Josi Headshot

Josi's point streak stands at four games and six points after he scored twice in Saturday's 5-2 victory over Washington.

He has put two goals and four assists in those four games, and he's picked up at least a point in eight of his last nine games (six goals, six assists). Josi's flat first half is well behind him and he's about to rip up the last quarter season. Sit back and enjoy.
10:14 pm (EST)
Chris Sale Headshot

Sale will make his first Grapefruit League spring start March 6 against the Astros, Scott Lauber of ESPN.com reports.

The southpaw has impressed his new skipper early on in spring and he will have plenty of time to get himself ready for the regular season and acclimated with his new club. Manager John John Farrell hasn't yet announced a starter for Opening Day, but Sale is a strong candidate for the assignment.
10:13 pm (EST)
Filip Forsberg Headshot

Forsberg delivered his third-straight three-point game in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Capitals. He scored one goal and added two assists.

Forsberg has been the sizzle and the steak this week. He's riding a four-game point streak that includes seven goals and three assists. And in there you'll find back-to-back hat tricks. All of a sudden, Forsberg has a shot at a third-straight 60 point season. Now that's a surprise given his sluggish first few months. Enjoy the ride.
10:10 pm (EST)
Cory Schneider Headshot

Schneider made 36 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Rangers.

Schneider is a solid fantasy citizen, but he's just not delivering the same excellence he brought to Jersey in his last three seasons. Mind you, his depressed numbers are a function of the struggles of the entire franchise, so he remains a solid keeper option moving forward.
10:03 pm (EST)
Travis Zajac Headshot

Zajac's point streak now stands at four games and six points after he picked up two assists in Saturday's overtime loss to the Rangers.

Zajac has been very effective in his last nine games (three goals, six assists), but his overall totals (37 points in 60 games) disguise his recent success. You might just find him lurking on the wire as a result. Just be prepared to drop Zajac at the first sign of a cold front.
9:59 pm (EST)
Adam Henrique Headshot

Henrique tallied his 16th goal of the season in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Rangers.

Henrique is way off his 30-goal pace of 2015-16, but he does have seven points, including three snipes, in his last 10 games. Sadly, he was picked apart in the face-off circle (3-for-14). Henrique is solid, but unspectacular depth fantasy play, as long as your league uses him as a forward and not as a center.
9:56 pm (EST)
Kyle Palmieri Headshot

Palmieri scored twice in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Rangers.

His point streak now stands at three games and five points (three goals, two assists). Palmieri got off to a sluggish start to the season, but has eight points, including five goals, in his last 10 games.
9:52 pm (EST)
Antti Raanta Headshot

Raanta made 35 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the Devils on Saturday.

Raanta is 4-1 in his last five starts. He remains a solid play in daily formats in back-to-game situations.
