Terrence Jones Headshot

Jones officially cleared waivers Saturday, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.

Jones was waived by the Pelicans on Thursday and after passing through waivers unclaimed will become a free agent. The 25-year-old figures to have several suitors, and he'll likely find a new home within the next few days after averaging 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game for New Orleans.
5:42 pm (EST)
Joakim Noah Headshot

Noah (hamstring) is considered doubtful to play in Saturday's game against Philadelphia, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.

Noah has missed the last six contests with a strained left hamstring, and his chances of returning Saturday appear slim. With Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) out, expect both Kyle O'Quinn and Wily Hernangomez to be in line for increased roles.

Marcus Thornton Headshot

Thornton cleared waivers Saturday and is officially a free agent, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.

As anticipated, the veteran passed through waivers unclaimed and will now be free to sign with another club. Thornton hadn't been much of an impact player for the Wizards, posing averages of 6.6 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 40.0 percent from the floor and 35.0 percent from three. As a result, he's unlikely to be at the top of most teams' wish lists, but the 29-year-old has proven to be a valuable scorer off the bench in years past.
5:33 pm (EST)
Deron Williams Headshot

Williams will sign with the Cavaliers on Monday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.

As expected, the veteran will join the top team in the East after officially passing through waivers Saturday evening. At age 32, Williams is a shell of his former All-NBA self, but he's still a solid point guard and represents a significant upgrade for the Cavs, who have been forced to use Iman Shumpert as a de facto backup point guard for much of the season. Once he's up to speed with his new team, expect Williams to come off the bench behind Kyrie Irving to run the second unit.
5:27 pm (EST)
Nikola Vucevic Headshot

Vucevic (Achilles) will play in Saturday's matchup with the Hawks, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Vucevic was a late addition to the injury report due to his sore Achilles, but it appears the injury isn't too severe. It's unclear if he'll be limited at all against the Hawks. Look for Bismack Biyombo to see some extra minutes if Vucevic has his minutes scaled back slightly.
5:24 pm (EST)
Adin Hill Headshot

Hill has been sent back down to AHL Tucson.

This isn't surprising, as Hill was only called up on an emergency basis, so it was expected he'd be sent back down in short order.
5:15 pm (EST)
Ty Lawson Headshot

Lawson will shift to the bench for Saturday's game against the Hornets, Stephanie Ready of Fox Sports Southeast reports.

The Kings started both Lawson and Darren Collison on Thursday against Denver, but with Tyreke Evans now up to speed, he'll unseat Lawson in lineup in what will likely be a permanent move. Evans will get the nod at small forward, with Ben McLemore shifting down to shooting guard.

Tyreke Evans Headshot

Evans will move into the starting five for Saturday's game against Charlotte, Stephanie Ready of Fox Sports Southeast reports.

Evans made his re-debut for the Kings in Thursday's win over the Nuggets, coming off the bench to finish with 15 points, four rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes. With a game now under his belt, Evans will move into the lineup at small forward, as Ty Lawson moves to the bench. Darren Collison will get the nod at point, while Ben McLemore slides down to shooting guard.
5:11 pm (EST)
James Neal Headshot

Neal is projected to play on the fourth line Saturday against the visiting Capitals.

This move doesn't make much sense considering the playmaking winger has six points in his last five games, but perhaps it's a strategic move by Predators coach Peter Laviolette to create mismatches. One thing is for sure, Filip Forsberg doesn't seem to need any help on that top unit as the owner of back-to-back hat tricks. We'd be totally shocked if Neil's fourth-line arrangement lasts beyond this single game.
5:06 pm (EST)
Remi Elie Headshot

Elie has been recalled from Dallas' AHL affiliate.

Elie has yet to play a game in the NHL, but the 21-year-old has 25 points in 49 games with the Texas Stars this season.
