Malik Hooker Headshot

Hooker (knee) is out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Mike Chappell of of CBS 4 News Indianapolis reports.

The Colts secondary could be in trouble with just two healthy safeties now that Hooker's out and a cornerback unit that's missing Rashaan Melvin (concussion) too. Expect Darius Butler to see an increased workload while Hooker sits out.
2:50 pm (EST)
Connor Brickley Headshot

Brickley got his team on the scoreboard early in the first period during the 4-1 win over Washington on Saturday.

After coming in to the season with just five points in 23 games, Brickley now has two goals and five points in six games played already this year. While it's unrealistic for him to keep this pace for a full, 82-game slate, the Panthers must be excited about their bottom-six forwards being this active early in the season.
2:50 pm (EST)
Ray-Ray Armstrong Headshot

Armstrong (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday against the Cowboys

Despite dealing with a shoulder injury for the second week in row, Armstrong will continue to hold down the fort at left outside linebacker. That said, he may not match his 7.5 tackles per game with 2017 first-rounder Reuben Foster (ankle) replacing NaVorro Bowman as the play caller on defense.
2:47 pm (EST)
Dekoda Watson Headshot

Watson (groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Watson plays mainly in a reserve role, and it's unlikely he's called upon on defense Sunday. The eight-year linebacker has just four tackles (two solo) this season.
2:47 pm (EST)
Corey Seager (L) Headshot

Seager (back) is scheduled to take part in a simulated game Monday and hopes to receive clearance to return to the lineup for Game 1 of the Dodgers' World Series matchup with the Astros on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of reports.

Seager didn't travel with the Dodgers during their five-game National League Championship Series win over the Cubs while contending with the back issue, but the Dodgers didn't miss a beat. Charlie Culberson started three of the games at shortstop and hit .511 and offered strong defense up the middle, while Chris Taylor started the other two games at the position en route to earning NLCS co-MVP honors. The return of Seager, who slashed .295/.375/.479 in his second full season in the big leagues, would still amount to an upgrade at the position, so the 23-year-old will look to prove that he's healthy Monday before the World Series gets underway. Seager has previously been able to run curves on the field, take ground balls and hit off a tee over the past couple of days, but the simulated game would represent the final hurdle he would need to clear in the recovery process.
2:45 pm (EST)
Brock Coyle Headshot

Coyle (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Coyle logged 74 defensive snaps in Week 6 against Washington, but now that Reuben Foster (ankle) is set to return, don't expect Coyle to see that high of a snap count again. The fourth-year linebacker has 11 tackles (seven solo) and a half sack this season.
2:44 pm (EST)
Reuben Foster Headshot

Foster (ankle) is active for Sunday's game versus the Cowboys.

A little birdie revealed to Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee that Foster would start at "Mike" linebacker in his first action since Week 1. In addition to play-calling duties, Foster will have plenty of tackle opportunities following NaVorro Bowman's release.
2:42 pm (EST)
Dwayne Bacon Headshot

Bacon will start at small forward Monday against the Bucks, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Despite his standing as a rookie second-round pick, Bacon hasn't looked out of place in Charlotte's starting lineup for the first two games of the season, averaging 7.0 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from distance in 19.5 minutes per game. It's expected that Bacon will lose out on his starting role on the wing once Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal) rejoins the team, but he should at least maintain a decent-sized role with the second unit if his performance warrants it.
2:37 pm (EST)
Jeremiah Sirles Headshot

Sirles hurt his knee Sunday against the Ravens and won't return.

Sirles was only playing because Nick Easton (calf) was inactive Sunday, so expect Danny Isidora to slot in at left guard for the remainder of the game.
2:36 pm (EST)
Brad Hunt Headshot

Hunt picked up two helpers -- one on the power play -- in a 3-2 overtime win over the Blues.

The 29-year-old blueliner now has three assists in as many games this season. He's posted an assist on the man advantage in each of the last two games. Hunt was a healthy scratch for Vegas' first four games this year, but he's slowly playing his way into a more important role. Still, it's unlikely that he'll have much fantasy relevance moving forward.
