The Buccaneers are just adding depth to their practice squad as most teams do throughout the season. Dye will hope to make enough of an impression to get promoted to the active roster.
The defensive end should be fine to suit up this week for the Texans, but it is worth monitoring as the week progresses. Clowney hasn’t recorded a sack since Week 4 and until he becomes more of a force as a pass rusher, fantasy owners can avoid the youngster in IDP leagues.
There’s no excuse for not arriving to training camp in shape, especially a player the caliber of Revis. At the age of 31, the cornerback has to work extra hard to maintain playing shape and unfortunately, that was not the case. Revis has struggled mightily this season as he is currently the 82nd ranked corner according to Pro Football Focus.
This is frustrating for fantasy owners as the forward finished the opener with 21 points which included three 3-pointers to go along with five rebounds and a steal in 23 minutes. It will be interesting to see how the Nets handle their small forward position now with Randy Foye dealing with a hamstring injury, but the early indication would be Sean Kilpatrick earning more minutes as he finished with 13 points in 22 minutes in the opener.
At least the rookie should get some playing experience in his first season. However, he won’t have much fantasy upside until possibly the last month or so of the year. Fantasy owners can avoid Simmons unless they are in a dynasty or keeper league.
It hasn't been a great season for Jeffrey this season. His quarterback situation hasn't been ideal, but at the same point, Jeffrey has yet to sustain any real success this season. At this point, he should be looked upon as a WR2 moving forward, not a top-tier option.
White played his college ball at Louisiana Tech and today, the Jets decided to release him from the practice squad. He's useless in all fantasy formats.
The team decided to bring former Houston Texans linebacker onto the practice squad. Offensive linemen Kyle Friend was also signed to the practice squad, while Myles White was released.
Friend was with the team during the preseason as an undrafted free agent, so it makes sense that they bring him back. He played his college ball at Temple and he will need an injury or two if he wants to be promoted to the active roster.
The team signed Anthony Johnson to the practice squad so a subsequent move had to be made. Farris will hope to sign with another organization in need of some depth up front. Farris played his college ball at Ohio State.
