Smith got the start Sunday against Baltimore, but was knocked out of the game and replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick. There's no telling who will be the starter going forward, but it appears Fitzpatrick has regained his job for the time being especially if Smith has to miss a few games.
Okafor played in limited action in Philadelphia's preseason finale on Friday night. He'll likely play in Wednesday's opener against Oklahoma City, but he'll probably be held to under 20 minutes of action. Because of the injury he's slated to come off the bench while Joel Embiid and Dario Saric will be in the starting rotation to begin the year.
Reid was carted off the field in the first quarter and there was an earlier report that he was Questionable to return. Being carted off the field usually signals a serious injury so it's not a surprise he'll miss the remainder of the game, but hopefully the injury isn't too serious and he won't have to miss too much time.
Coates left in the first quarter with a cut on his hand and was originally questionable to return. If he is able to come back into the game his presence will help open up the passing game as the Steelers are without Ben Roethlisberger today.
The Vikings suffered their first loss of the season and the bigger loss was Andrew Sendejo. Jayron Kearse replaced Sendejo at strong safety and was lucky that poor throws by Carson Wentz bailed Kearse out of giving up a big play. If he's forced to miss any time then the Vikings secondary will have some big shoes to fill in his absence.
Coates suffered a cut to his hand and it appears he also may have fractured his finger. He's been battling other injuries recently that made him a sketchy play even heading in to today. When he's healthy he's a great option in the passing game when the Steelers don't go to Antonio Brown or Le'Veon Bell.
Early reports say that Coates has a cut and fractured finger. The Steelers passing attack is already hurting enough with Ben Roethlisberger out today and with Coates out it'll make it easier for the Patriots to key in on Antonio Brown.
The fact that Reid is even Questionable is a surprise considering he was carted off the field and that normally signals the end of a player's day. The Chargers defense has done well enough keeping Atlanta out of the end zone so far as they hold a 7-6 lead nearing the end of the first quarter.
It's never a good sign when a player is carted off the field. Hopefully the injury isn't too serious as the Chargers could have used his production to try and slow down the high-octane Falcons offense.
Ramsey joins teammate Malik Jackson in the locker room as both players were ejected from today's game against Oakland. It's been a pretty disappointing start to 2016 for Jacksonville as many assumed they would take a significant step forward, but that has not been the case. Ramsey could face discipline from the NFL for his actions in today's game.
