Tom Wilhelmsen Headshot

Manager Scott Servais said that Tom Wilhelmsen has been dealing with back issues for the last few days.

Wilhelmsen is dealing with a back issue, but he did pitch a scoreless inning on Thursday night. Whatever was ailing Wilhelmsen seems to be cleared up at this point. He should be fine going forward.

Jorge Alfaro Headshot

Phillies are expected to call up prospect Jorge Alfaro over the weekend.

The Phillies have long been out of playoff contention and now they want to infiltrate some of their younger players and prospects. Alfaro is hitting .279 with 13 home runs at Double-A this season and should receive a couple of starts behind the plate each week. He's worth an add in NL-Only leagues.

Isaiah Pead Headshot

Isaiah Pead said his hamstring tightened up Thursday, but he could have stayed in if it was a regular season game.

Pead is battling for a roster spot, so any sign of injury of underperformance could be counted against him. If he does make the roster, he will be third on the Dolphins' depth chart at the running back position.

Kyle Seager Headshot

Kyle Seager (foot) hopes to play Friday, but will have to see how he feels.

Seager is dealing with a sore foot that has kept him out of action for a couple of days. He is likely to return on Friday night.

Cameron Wake Headshot

Cameron Wake (Achilles) said he is working with head coach Adam Gase on a plan to maximize his skill set for the team.

Wake is already one of the best defensive linemen in the league, but it's certainly welcoming news that he wants to improve his game in a big way. He is coming off of an Achilles injury, but if he's able to return to form he should be able to record double-digit sacks without much of an issue.

Corey Fuller Headshot

Lions WR Corey Fuller will open the regular season on the PUP list.

This means Fuller will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season. He will continue to rehab his broken foot and will be eligible to return on October 17.

Tony Romo Headshot

When asked about Tony Romo's back injury, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said, "We don't think it's a serious thing."

The hit Romo sustained looked kind of ugly, but it sounds as though Romo will be fine in a couple of days. His preseason is likely over, but he should be under center Week 1 when the Cowboys play the Giants.

Ndamukong Suh Headshot

Dolphins head coach Adam Gase said Ndamukong Suh will be fine.

Suh left Thursday's game, but it was only as a precautionary measure. It's unknown whether he will play in the Dolphins' final preseason game, but he'll be ready to go Week 1 against Seattle.
