Joey Gallo (L) Headshot

Gallo is out of the lineup Monday against the Marlins.

Gallo, who supplied a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Rays, will hit the bench following three consecutive starts. Delino DeShields will serve as the indirect replacement in the lineup for Gallo, manning center field and batting ninth.

Brandon Drury (R) Headshot

Drury is not in the lineup Monday against the Braves.

Drury has been scuffling at the plate since the All-Star break, producing just a .572 OPS in that eight-game span. He'll hit the bench as the Diamondbacks continue to employ a carousel of options at second base. Daniel Descalso will man the keystone Monday evening.
4:48 pm (EST)
Evan Gattis (R) Headshot

Gattis is out of the lineup Monday against the Phillies, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The long-term injury to Carlos Correa (thumb) has opened up more starting opportunities for Gattis lately while manager A.J. Hinch shuffles up his lineup, but with the no DH spot available for the three-game series in Philadelphia, Gattis may find himself on the bench a little more frequently this week. Gattis is hitting .341 with five home runs in July, providing the Astros with a valuable power source in the heart of the order when he's started.
4:45 pm (EST)
Matt Carpenter (L) Headshot

Carpenter (quadriceps) is not in the lineup Monday against the Rockies.

Carpenter left Sunday's contest with the Cubs prematurely due to a bout of cramps in his quad, and it seems like the Cardinals want to give him at least one more day to rest in order to get him back to full health. He'll remain day-to-day for now as Luke Voit takes over at first base Monday night.
4:43 pm (EST)
J.D. Martínez (R) Headshot

Martinez (wrist) is in the starting lineup Monday against the Braves.

Martinez sat out of the past four contests but managed to make a pinch hit appearance Sunday afternoon, which likely acted as the final hurdle to getting him back in the lineup. He'll slot back into his normal spot in the lineup with his new team, batting fifth and playing right field.
4:41 pm (EST)
Kendrys Morales (B) Headshot

Morales is out of the lineup Monday against the Athletics, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca repoorts.

Morales gets his first day off of the second half following 10 consecutive starts out of the All-Star break. The veteran designated hitter has posted a .378 on-base percentage during that time, but the power has dried up a bit, as he's recorded only two extra-base knocks. Jose Bautista will get a day out of the field and fill the void at DH.
4:39 pm (EST)
Tyler Pill (R) Headshot

Pill was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

With Zack Wheeler (arm) being placed on the disabled list, the Mets needed a fresh arm to slot into the starting rotation. Pill will head back to the big leagues to take his spot as he looks to continue providing serviceable innings for the Mets. In three starts and two relief appearances in the majors this year, the 27-year-old holds a 5.00 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP.
4:33 pm (EST)
Yan Gomes (R) Headshot

Gomes is out of the lineup Monday against the Reds.

Gomes will retreat to the bench following two straight turns behind the dish, allowing Roberto Perez to draw the start at catcher. In six appearances since the All-Star break, Gomes has gone 4-for-21 with a home run and two RBI.
