Aaron Hicks (B) Headshot

Hicks is starting in center field and leading off Tuesday against the Rays, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Hicks was reinstated from the 10-day DL prior to Tuesday's contest, and he'll make his first start since suffering an oblique injury Sept. 2. He's missed 61 games this season due to oblique injuries, but he's compiled a respectable .265/.367/.463 line in 82 games when healthy. The Yankees have already locked up a playoff spot, so Hicks should see plenty of opportunities to shake the rust off over the final six games, though he may not play everyday with Jacoby Ellsbury and Clint Frazier also in the mix. He'll face Blake Snell in his return to the lineup.

A.J. Ramos (R) Headshot

Ramos is dealing with biceps tendinitis, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.

It's not clear how long Ramos has been feeling the soreness, but it could have been a factor in him allowing five earned runs and 13 runners to reach base via hit or walk over his last four outings. Ramos is considered day-to-day, and the Mets will determine his next step after he plays catch Tuesday.

Tim Beckham (R) Headshot

Beckham (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Tuesday against the Pirates, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Beckham will miss a second straight start after suffering a hamstring injury Saturday. He was to be treated and evaluated Monday to determine his status for the rest of the season, but nothing has come forth yet on that front. If this is it for the 27-year-old, he can hold his head high heading into the offseason, having acclimated himself extremely well with his new club (.311/.354/.533).
4:02 pm (EST)
Bug Howard Headshot

Howard signed with the Browns' practice squad Tuesday.

Howard was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina but was unable to make the team's final roster. He'll serve as an emergency option at wide receiver in Cleveland as part of their practice roster.
4:01 pm (EST)
Adam Jones (R) Headshot

Jones (legs) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.

He has been battling leg soreness in recent weeks, which is by no means uncommon this time of year. It was bad enough to force him from Sunday's game, and Jones will miss at least one start as a result of the issue. Austin Hays will start in center field and lead off Tuesday while Chris Davis bats cleanup.
3:56 pm (EST)
Lonnie Chisenhall (L) Headshot

Chisenhall (calf) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Chisenhall hasn't played since Sept. 14 due to calf soreness, and the issue will force him to miss yet another contest. He didn't travel with the Indians over the weekend, staying back in Cleveland to continue rehabbing his injured calf instead, but there hasn't been any word of his progress, so it's still unclear when he may be able to return to action. In the meantime, Austin Jackson will continue to start in left field in his place.
3:56 pm (EST)
Yadier Molina (R) Headshot

Molina (head) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

It's not clear where Molina stands in the concussion protocol after taking two foul balls off his catcher's mask in Monday's game, but he will not start Tuesday. Carson Kelly will get the nod behind the plate in Molina's place.
3:54 pm (EST)
Lawrence Timmons Headshot

The Dolphins reinstated Timmons from his indefinite suspension Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Timmons will play in Sunday's game against the Saints.

After Timmons went AWOL ahead of the Dolphins' Week 2 win over the Chargers to tend to a personal matter, the team suspended the linebacker and didn't provide any indication when he would return. His suspension will last a little over a week, and the expectation is that he'll resume practicing with the team Wednesday in preparation for Sunday's game. Chase Allen ended up filling in at outside linebacker in the Week 3 loss to the Jets and recorded seven tackles, but is expected to see his snap count drop dramatically in Week 4 with Timmons back in the fold.
3:54 pm (EST)
Kevin Czuczman Headshot

Czuczman was placed on waivers Tuesday in order to reassign him to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton , James Mirtle of The Athletic Torontoreports.

Czuczman would have needed a phenomenal camp in order to win a spot on the 23-man roster, so it should come as no surprise the organization decided to move him down to the minors. The 26-year-old last appeared in an NHL contest during the 2013-14 season when he was with the Islanders in which he notched a pair of helpers. While he does have offensive upside, the Pens depth on the blue line all but guarantees the London, Ontario native will spend the entire year with the Baby Pens.
3:52 pm (EST)
Jose Martinez (R) Headshot

Martinez (thumb) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Martinez received a cortisone shot Sunday in hopes of reducing the swelling in his thumb, but it has apparently not done the trick just yet, as he is not ready to start two days later. Matt Carpenter will continue manning first base while Martinez remains sidelined.
