Happy Halloween everyone.  Fantasy football injuries can be quite spooky and make your playoff hopes disappear like a ghost in the night.  The past 48 hours are a good illustration how important it is to check on a player’s status every day.  In the last injury report on October 29, 2014, it wasn’t quite clear whether certain players would be playing in Week 9.  Now we have some clarity which will allow you to make the necessary changes to your lineup and roster in time for this critical week.  Remember, your fantasy league playoffs are only a few weeks away so it is vital that you stay on top of the status of your players.  So without further adieu, here is the next edition of the walking wounded.

A.J. Green (WR-CIN)

A.J. Green practiced again on Friday which is a good sign he will be playing this week.  That is great news for fantasy GM’s who have been deprived of one of the best receivers in the league for several weeks.  But you should temper your expectations because Green likely isn’t 100% yet and it is not reasonable to expect elite production just yet.

Tony Romo (QB-DAL)

We still do not know much more about Tony Romo’s status than we did a couple days ago.  He hasn’t practiced, which was expected.  But reports out of Dallas still indicate he will be a game-time decision.  You should plan on going with your other quarterback because it is too risky to go with Romo.  Even if he does play, he won’t be 100% and it will be a tough matchup against a good Arizona defense.

Robert Griffin III (QB-WAS)

Things change quickly in 48 hours as Robert Griffin III will now start this week against Minnesota.  After Colt McCoy led the Redskins to two consecutive dramatic wins, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to let RGIII get another week of rest.  But Washington will put their franchise player back under center and hopefully for fantasy GM’s he is allowed to air it out and make Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed solid fantasy options this week.

Giovani Bernard (RB-CIN)

Giovani Bernard is dealing with multiple injuries and has been ruled out of this week’s game.  It is questionable whether he will even be available for Week 10 since the Bengals play in the Thursday night game that week.  Rookie Jeremy Hill will get the start this week and is a solid RB2 or Flex option in a week with six teams on their bye.

Doug Martin (RB-TB)

Doug Martin is listed as doubtful and will likely not play against Cleveland on Sunday.  Martin has gone from rookie of the year to not worth a roster space in a relatively short amount of time.  He cannot stay on the field and is not worth holding onto in your fantasy league.  Bobby Rainey will likely get the start and is a good Flex option against the Browns’ susceptible run defense.

Justin Forsett (RB-BAL)

Good news for Justin Forsett owners as he is now listed as probable for Week 9.  He will have a good matchup on Sunday night against the Steelers’ shoddy defense.  Do not hesitate to put him in your lineup.

Rashad Jennings (RB-NYG)

The mystery is now over as the Giants have officially ruled Rashad Jennings out for Monday night against Indianapolis.  Jennings will hopefully be back for Week 10 so that means Andre Williams gets another start.  The rookie has been uninspiring thus far, but with all of the injuries and teams on a bye he is at least a Flex option for this week.

Jordan Cameron (TE-CLE)

Jordan Cameron has been officially ruled out this week against Tampa Bay as he is still dealing with a concussion.  In fact, he is likely going to miss next week as well which puts his fantasy relevance in serious doubt.  Cameron had a lot of hype coming into the season but he has been a total bust with only 13 catches for 250 yards and one touchdown.

Jason Kelce (C-PHI)

After missing several weeks with a groin injury, Eagles’ center Jason Kelce should return on Sunday against Houston.  This could bode well for LeSean McCoy who has been consistently underwhelming all season.  Granted, McCoy wasn’t producing much before Kelce was injured, but his return certainly can’t hurt Shady’s chances of getting over 100 yards and actually finding the end zone.
