FantasyAlarm.com has partnered with FantasyAces.com so I wanted to take some time to talk about their own unique SalaryPro Contests and provide some tips how to be successful at it.  I hope you guys have been able to take advantage of the tools we have been able to offer on the site to help you win your daily games and if not what are you waiting for.  We will publish the MLB DFS Playbook every day to help you guys win.  I know some of you are just seasonal players but give the daily game a try and you won't regret it.  So if you are first timer or just play on another site, it is a great time to try FantasyAces.com.  It is the very user friendly DFS site with more positional flexibility than any site around.  You can use up to 3 different pitchers, a utility spot and if you don't like a SS that day you don't have to use one.

What is SalaryPro?

An exclusive FantasyAces game format that features a "flex" salary cap, opening an array of roster-building options. If you have the ability to scout the low cost, high ROI talent just like a professional general manager, this game is perfect for you. That's because you earn bonus points when your total team payroll falls under the cap, so you start your daily fantasy contest with a head start.

SalaryPro also allows you to go over the salary cap, but you will be penalized potentially valuable fantasy points to begin the game. That means you can spend big on multiple elite players as long as you are willing to sacrifice some points.

Here's the starting lineup you need to put together.

P,P,C,2B/SS,2B/SS,1B/3B,1B/3B,OF,OF,OF,Util

You have $55,000 to set up your 11 position team.

Pretty simple stuff. Here's the Scoring System.

That's it, simple, easy and straightforward.

How does SalaryPro Work?

MLB $55,000 salary cap

SalaryPro is an extremely skill based format which required great knowledge of professional athletes. It rewards those who fill their roster with undervalued players and stay under the salary cap with bonus points and penalizes those who go over the salary cap by filling their roster with expensive player. (SEE DETAILS BELOW)

SALARYPRO BONUS

MLB - Every $50 under the cap = +.10 Point (10 bonus points max at $5,000 under cap)

Note: Bonus doesn't kick in until you are at least $250 under the Salary Cap

Examples:

MLB, at $250 under the salary cap you will receive .50 bonus points to your fantasy score to begin the contest. From here, every $50 below you will then receive and additional + .10pts. (10 points max)

SALARYPRO PENALTY

Note: Penalty points kick in immediately at $50 over the salary cap.

MLB - Every $50 over the cap = -.20 Points  (-20 points max at $5,000 over the salary cap)

Tips to be successful in Salarypro

  • Don't spend over the budget amount as the negative points will really hurt your chances of winning.
  • Salarypro fits best in baseball so if you did try it before in NBA or NFL and where not sure you liked it try again in MLB.
  • Try to get the max bonus points of 10.
  • Avoid the top dollar players in particular with the hitters.  Mike Trout is nice but plenty of players can hit multiple home runs in a given day.
  • You have to find value in the pitchers as you can't get two top notch pitchers in a good salarypro lineup.
  • Hitting on multiple value plays is a must.
  • Find at least one hitter at minimum price to use in your lineup.
