I figured it was about time to unleash a daily fantasy college football playbook. It is late the season but there is no better time than now to give it a shot. This is a full day breakdown of tomorrow's slate of action which includes 11 games. The games kickoff at noon eastern time so make sure to get your lineups in. Much like you will find in our NFL, MLB and NBA playbooks, we like to keep things simple and provide the players that give you the best chance to win. Feel free to hit me up on twitter @tedschuster, e-mail ted@fantasyalarm.com or post in the comments section below. I will try to help in anyway I can. When it comes to college football DFS, the information is definitely harder to come by as injuries are not required to be reported by schools. For this reason, I avoid almost any player that I can could miss the game. Unlike the other major professional sports, the reporting is also not easy to find and you can't afford to take zeros in DFS. In College Football DFS, you will see video game type numbers and when you land those players on your rosters it becomes a very good week.
A few notes about player selection and strategies, the pricing can vary greatly from site to site. Draftkings is a full point PPR site just like NFL and use 2 QB's compared to 1 on FanDuel. FanDuel is also a 1/2 point PPR site just like the NFL. As always Draftkings offers late swap which can be very useful with hard to find news while FanDuel your roster is locked. FanDuel you generally want to get the best QB on the board whenever possible. With two QB's on Draftkings, you need to find some value. My favorite QB plays this week are Trevone Boykin on FanDuel and Jake Waters on Draftkings. I also prefer to pay up on running backs if possible. Jay Ajayi for Boise St. is a must own on both sites. Ajayi has actually been better than Melvin Gordon over the last 4 games even with Gordon's record breaking game factored in. Ajayi gets to face a much weaker opponent this week along with being slightly cheaper. You can find more than enough 5K range WR's on both sites to get a top tier RB in your lineup. It does get difficult to roster a 9K WR on either site on most days. Lastly for TE spot, I try to get the best one on the board if possible since a guy like Nick O'Leary is far and away the best one going. However, I will punt the position to get other high scoring positions in if needed. It really is a judgment call week to week. A balanced appoach at each position can also work out if you don't feel comfortable using too many of the value plays.
