We are on to Week 5 so it is time to take a look ahead at the different price points on both Draftkings and FanDuel this weekend. It is important to find the most productive players every week but you also can't afford to overpay for the production that you will receive.  We are about 25% of the way through the season so big performances from the previous weeks are not causing as big of jumps in the pricing.  Each site has their own method for pricing.  Draftkings tends to be more aggressive on moving their pricing up and down based on what we have seen this year while FanDuel has been a little more conservative and even overpricing some players based on historical numbers they produced not just this current season.

Below you will find a breakdown on a number of the quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers along with the tight ends on both Draftkings and FanDuel who are overpriced and underpriced.

Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson leads the way this week in overpriced quarterbacks at $7,600 on Draftkings and $8,300 on FanDuel.  Wilson and the Seahawks have struggled on the road throughout his career so I will pass on a QB who is on a run first team to begin with. Colin Kaepernick checks in at $7,800 on DK going up against the Chiefs.  Kaepernick struggles with accuracy and the 49ers need to go back to being a run first team to win football games.  They did that in the 2nd half last week and it paid off. On FanDuel,  Andrew Luck is the highest priced QB on the board at $10,000.  Luck has been great so far this season but that is just too high of a price for a team that I feel has seen everything go right for so far this season.  Lastly Tom Brady who has been very mediocre this season and last year for that matter.  Brady is $7,900 which is too high for a guy throwing for about 225 yds/game and just a 1 TD/game over his last 20 games.

Blake Bortles checks in at $5,200 on Drafkings & $6,400 on FanDuel while Eli Manning is $7,500 on DK & $7,300 on FD.  These two guys lead the way on underpriced QB's.   Bortles had a strong showing in his first NFL start last week at San Diego and should provide more solid fantasy numbers again this week against a banged up Steelers defense.  Manning has adjusted well to the new offense after some early struggles and goes up against the Atlanta defense which is a disaster.  You can also get some nice value on Philip Rivers on DK at $7,000 for a team with no running game.  Rivers will have to throw the ball all day to keep the Chargers moving the football.  The Jets have been tough to run on but torched through the air as well which adds to his value. Mike Glennon is also priced nicely at $6,1000 in a high scoring affair that will take place in New Orleans.  Glennon has proven himself nicely in his young career at getting some fantasy numbers.

Running Backs

The overpriced running backs definitely vary by site.  Arian Foster is $7,400 on Draftkings coming off a bad game while battling hamstring & back injuries.  His back issues don't seem like they will ever go away which him very risky.  Reggie Bush is $6,200 on DK which is too much for a part time guy who loses a ton of touches to Joique Bell.  Bush maybe more in play this week if Bell is kept out due to the concussion he suffered last week so keep an eye on that.  Over on FanDuel,  Marshawn Lynch is a steep $9,100 on the road in Washington.  The Redskins have problems on defense overall but have been stout against the run.   Lynch is generally match-up proof but something you can't ignore daily when his price is that high.  Frank Gore is $7,600 coming off a big week but his touches have been inconsistent at times.  Gore also lacks the upside you would like to have in Daily Fantasy as well.  The last player to address is C.J. Spiller who is $7,600 on FD.  Spiller shares too many reps with Fred Jackson and his touchdowns have to be of a longer distance for him to typically find the endzone.

There are pair of underpriced running backs who happen to show up on both sites.  Rashad Jennings is $5,500 on Draftkings & $7,200 on FanDuel while Khiry Robinson is $3,000 on DK & $4,900 on FD.  Jennings had a quiet game last week in the blowout of Washington so his price remained relatively unchanged.  The Giants wanted to get Jennings some rest so Andre Williams got more action in the 2nd half which led to subpar numbers for Jennings.  He is still the guy in New York and gets the Falcons defense that was run all over last week.  Robinson has been the main ball carrier in New Orleans that last two weeks and has been productive despite a lack of touches.  He should get more run this week and is minimum price on DK & barely above minimum on FD. The last one I wanted to mention is Gio Bernard at $6,700 on DK.  Bernard is a steal as the focal part of the Cincinnati offense. Jamaal Charles lit up New England last week and Bernard should do the same.

Wide Receivers

I am shocked that I actually have this player on this article.  Calvin Johnson is overpriced right now at $8,200 on Draftkings and $8,900 on FanDuel.  Johnson was nothing but a decoy last week and is still battling his way through an injury.  Andre Johnson is former star WR who is $6,400 on DK and yet the second best receiver on this team in the eyes of Ryan Fitzpatrick right now.  DeAndre Hopkins is only $4,800 on DK which makes for a much better value for the guy Fitzpatrick has been focused on.  Kendall Wright is $5,500 on DK which is fair price until you compare him to the rest of the guys in that price range.  Wright could gather enough catches to pay off but really lacks the touchdowns you need.  On FanDuel, Percy Harvin is another valuable PPR guy like Wright who is $7,600 but lacks the big game potential with the offense he is in and the price point he sits at.  We then have Emmanuel Sanders who is $8,000 on FD who has been racking up the receptions but rarely finds the endzone so he has diminished value on FD.  Sanders however is $5,100 on DK which makes him a real nice play in their format.

There are other underpriced options this weekend as well in addition to the already mentioned Hopkins and Sanders.  Brandin Cooks is a underpriced at $4,700 on Draftkings & $6,400 on FanDuel and is teammate Marques Colston is $5,500 on FD.  They both should have solid games at home against Tampa Bay.  The Saints are a different level team at home over the last few years.  Allen Robinson was relatively quiet last week but still love him at $3,000 on DK & $5,000 on FD.  Robinson is the best receiver the Jaguars have and Cecil Shorts is likely out this week which should lead to more looks. Kelvin Benjamin is just $4,800 on DK which amazes me considering his production this year.  Benjamin should continue his great play against the awful Bears defense.

Tight Ends

The tight end position really doesn't have many overpriced players in my mind.  Rob Gronkowski is the main problem. Gronkowski is $6,600 on Draftkings & a whopping $7,600.  Gronkowski will get better but the Patriots struggles can't allow anyone to pay up for him right now.  The other concerning price tag is Larry Donnell at $5,700.  Donnell had a monster performance last week but when you price tag gets too close to Jimmy Graham you become irrelevant to me.

The best value at tight end has to be Travis Kelce at  $3,000 on Draftkings and $5,300 on FanDuel.  Kelce had a monster game on Monday night which probably wasn't factored in to prices for this weekend.  It will be tough to match his game against New England but it is clear the Chiefs have made an effort to get him the ball.  You can also look at Delanie Walker at $4,300 on DK as he has been heavily involved and productive for the Titans.  Walker's price has to be due for a substantial increase if he does it again this week.  The last guy is a bit of a sleeper in Jacksonville.  Clay Harbour is $3,000 on Draftkings.  Harbour was a favorite target for Bortles last week so that seems likely to happen again.  He could make a very interesting GPP play.
