Each week for the rest of the season I will take a look at the different price points for players on both Draftkings and Fanduel. It is important to find the right players but you also can't afford to overpay for the production that you will receive for that given week.  It is early in the season so big performances from the week before will really cause a players price to jump.  We see it this week with a guy like Antonio Gates who was near minimum price last week but after having a 3 TD game in Week 2 his price almost doubled on Draftkings.  You won't see quite the price fluxations as we get deeper into the season but something to be aware week to week.

Below you will find a breakdown on a number of the quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and the tight ends on both Draftkings and Fanduel.

Quarterbacks

Peyton Manning is a clear cut overpriced quarterback on both sites.  Manning checks in at $8,800 on Draftkings and $9,200 on Fanduel where he heads to Seattle.  It will be near impossible to return his price tag with the hometown calls the Seahawks always get.  Andrew Luck is another player who is priced out of his potential performance this week for me.    He does get an awful opponent in Jacksonville but the conservative play calling by the coaching staff limits his upside which make him too expensive at $9,200 on DK and $9,500 on FD.  Some other quarterbacks of note is Kirk Cousins at $7,300 on DK and Colin Kaepernick at $8,500 on FD.  Cousins is serviceable for a back-up QB but won't do anything special this week.

I did not find any quarterbacks that were underpriced on both sites with the exception of Tony Romo.  The pricing seems a little looser on Draftkings in general while Fanduel seems to have the quarterbacks priced relatively high.  Romo has Dez Bryant who can carry a team so he could have a huge game.  Cam Newton at $7,400 on DK is a steal with his primetime game on Sunday Night.  Newton has a histroy of lighting up the scoreboard in the spotlight games.on national TV.  Tom Brady checks in at $6,900 while Tony Romo checks in at $6,500 on DK.  Both of these quarterbacks are capable of monster games.  On Fanduel,  Romo checks in at $7,600 and you will have to go down to the value plays of Ryan Tannehill at $6,500 and Ryan Fitzpatrick at $6,400 to find guys who might be slighlty underpriced.  An important note,  Drew Brees is fairly priced on both sites but with the Saints playing at home you can expect a monster game from him.  He should easily exceed 300+ yards and 3 TD's.  New Orleans plays at a different level in the dome.

Running Backs

Leveon Bell leads the way on overpriced running backs.  He is $8,800 on Fanduel and $7,300 on Draftkings going up against a tough Carolina Defense.  Frank Gore is $7,700 on FD which is tough to even consider for a guy who is likely get around 15 carries.  C.J. Spiller comes in at $7,500  which is considerably higher than his teammate Fred Jackson who is only $5,600 and more likely to get the goal line carries.  Fanduel is only a .5 PPR site so touchdowns become more important.  Spiller more than likely would need to get his TD from a longer distance.  Trent Richadson is $5,000 on DK but he is a mess and shares too much time with Ahmad Bradshaw.  Terrence West comes in at $5,600 on DK against a tough defense and doubts on whether he will get any goal line action.

You will find plenty of under priced runningbacks including the aforementioned Jackson on FD.  Montee Ball is only $5,900 on DK against a Seattle Defense which has been run in the past despite their tough overall defense.  Zac Stacy is $5,600 on DK against Dallas who really does have issues stopping the run but have not been exposed yet this year  The Rams realize that they need to run the ball to win football games with their bad quarterback play so Stacy is in a good spot.  Reggie Bush will make for a great play at $5,000 on DK against a Packer defense who can't stop anyone.  Rashad Jennings should be able to put a nice game at $6,400 on FD with his pass catching ability and being the main piece in the running game. Khiry Robinson should also find the endzone with his cheap $4,700 price tag on FD with Mark Ingram out for at least a month.

Wide Receivers

Demaryius Thomas falls into an unusual spot this weekend.  He is overpriced on Fanduel at $8,700 and underpriced on Draftkings at $6,600.  The Seahawks are tough but Thomas is very playable on DK this week.  Emmanuel Sanders is expensive on FD at $7,800 and also sees the return of Wes Welker so Sanders will need to see a major price drop to be back in lineups with Welker's return.  Jeremy Maclin checks in at $6,400 on DK which is too steep for a team that really is focusing on getting their running backs the ball.  Cordarrelle Patterson is $6,100 on DK against the Saints but has a lack of knowledge of the wide receiver position.  Patterson is just too limited in ways to get him the ball until he really learns the position.  The last of the overpriced guys belongs to Percy Harvin who checks in at $7,700 on FD.  I don't how any one can consider using him with his lack of touches.  Harvin was gifted a TD last week when he should have been ruled out of bounds on the play.

The Saints check in with a few players who are underpriced for a team that could score 40+ points this week.  Marques Colston is $5,400 on DK and $5,600 on FD this week after going without a target last week.  Brees will be aware of this and get him involved early on.  Brandin Cooks is only $6,300 on FD and he could easily hit 6+ catches and a TD this week.  Kelvin Benjamin is $6,500 on FD and only $4,800 on DK.  I have mentioned how well Newton plays in primetime and that should set-up a big game for Benjamin who struggled with some drops last week but will rebound.  T.Y. Hilton should find himself over 100+ yards and a TD this week as he has been heavily targeted the first two weeks but nothing special to show for his results thus far.

Tight Ends

All of the overpriced tight ends on Draftkings are the poster children of how much a big week can make a price jump.  Antonio Gates is $6,100 , Niles Paul is $5,800 and Delanie Walker at $5,700 all on Draftkings saw major jumps in their price this last week.  When you can get Rob Gronkowski at $5,900, I don't see anyone using those three this week.  Niles Paul is however affordable on Fanduel at $5,000.  Julius Thomas as seen his price jump to $8,000 on FD so he is another one feeling the Seattle effect and should be avoided.  Vernon Davis who is questionable with an ankle injury is $7,100 on FD but his lack of catches really hurts his chances of returning value.  Jordan Cameron is the last of the overpriced guys on FD at $6,200.  The preseason hype was overboard and his price is yet to come down.

Larry Donnell is an underpriced option on both DK and FD.  Donnell checks in at $4,000 on DK and $4,900 on FD.  Despite his lack of difference making talent,  he is the preferred target for Eli Manning right now. Dennis Pitta is just $4,400 on DK and seems like he could be do for a big game.  Joe Flacco will look to get him more involved.  Kyle Rudolph lastly is a guy who is underpriced on FD at $5,400. Rudolph has been quiet so far but in a game with some points to be scored he should be more invovled this week.
