Felix Hernandez leads the way for pitchers tonight and he is not even the top priced pitcher going tonight over at Draftkings. The Nationals are a decent hitting team but King Felix is a complete stud should be able to handle them. Jordan Zimmerman will oppose Hernandez so makes for some interesting decisions on sites where the win is very important. I am also a big fan of Jason Vargas as a value who has been solid most of the year but does not have much strikeout upside that some others do. Ervin Santana and Chris Archer rounds out my Top 5 as they have been pitching well the last few times out but does have some risks for blow-ups from time to time.
The Arizona bats should provide some nice value going up against Christian Bergman so Miguel Montero, David Peralta, Ender Inciarte and Cliff Pennington and even Jake Lamb all make solid plays. The middle infield positions don't bring a ton of attractive match-ups for the better players in the league so the value plays should be really considered there. The best high price hitter is Jose Abreu who gets a fantastic match-up against Justin Verlander tonight who has been awful vs. right handed pitchers this year.
The weather could be interesting in the Midwest so the games in St. Louis and Chicago I would avoid the pitchers but the hitters should be fine. Kansas City could start with a delay but still think Vargas should be good to go. The weather should be monitored though just in case as Midwest storms can be unpredictable.
Good Luck tonight hit me up in the comments section, on twitter @tedschuster or my e-mail at email@example.com if you have any questions.
