The other day I was telling a friend of a friend all of the things I liked about WNBA DFS. Chief among them was the ability to watch such a high percentage of the games. With only 12 teams, I get to see a high percentage of each team’s games, even if time constraints prevent me from seeing all the games. The biggest downside to WNBA DFS is you get a lot of two and three-game slates. Wednesday’s slate is fine, as far as small slates go, but you have to really stretch if you are going to find more than a dozen players worth playing. With that in mind, today’s WNBA DFS Playbook will only feature one suggested lineup for each site. I think both lineups are fine for both cash and GPP games, though I probably like the FanDuel lineup slightly better for a GPP.

Breanna Stewart, F, SEA $  8,600 $     13,300Stewart has been great all season, but she is averaging 18.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists since Seattle made its coaching change. In two games against Atlanta Stewart is averaging 20.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists.
Crystal Langhorne, F, SEA $  5,500 $        7,800Langhorne is always a cash game consideration, but she has shown her upside against Atlanta this season. Langhorne is averaging 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds against the Dream.
Alysha Clark, F, SEA $  4,800 $        6,200No team has allowed as many rebounds as the Dream this season, and while Breanna Stewart and Crystal Langhorne are the most likely players to take advantage, Alysha Clark is capable of getting rebounds as well. Clark is averaging 12.0 points and 3.5 rebounds against Atlanta this season.
Erica Wheeler, G, IND $  5,100 $        7,600I keep waiting for Wheeler to step up with Tiffany Mitchell and Briann January out, and while it hasn't happened yet, I still believe it is coming. Wheeler scored 33 points in 33 minutes against the Liberty two weeks ago, so the upside is there to make her a GPP play at the very least.
Marissa Coleman, F, IND $  3,400 $        4,300Coleman scored 20 points in 37 minutes Sunday, and while that likely represents her ceiling, we know the opportunity is there with all of the injuries Indiana has suffered.
Jazmon Gwathmey, G, IND $  4,200 $        5,900Gwathmey has been a bit inconsistent, but she has a nice opportunity with Briann January out for the season, and her price remains low.
Aerial Powers, F, DAL $  4,000 $        5,800Powers came off the bench to play 21 minutes against Connecticut back on August 12, finishing with 11 points, two rebounds and two assists. Even if she comes off the bench again, it would be relatively surprising if she plays fewer than 30 minutes with Glory Johnson out.
Kayla Thornton, F, DAL $  3,000 $        3,500Thornton may be the most natural replacement for Glory Johnson in terms of skill set. Like Aerial Powers, Kayla Thornton is interesting even if she comes off the bench, but her ceiling is probably lower than Powers's.
Courtney Paris, F, DAL $  3,000 $        3,100Paris is yet another candidate for increased playing time, and Dallas may need to keep her on the floor for her rebounding, even if she provides little else. She is probably just a cheap cash play, but you could do worse if you are looking to save money.
Skylar Diggins-Smith, G, DAL $  7,600 $     12,100 Dallas will likely lean on Diggins-Smith even more than normal with Johnson out, much the way Diana Taurasi's usage skyrocketed after Brittney Griner went down. Diggins-Smith should be safe, and the sky is the limit if she starts knocking down shots.
Jonquel Jones, F, CON $  8,600 $     13,700Stop me if you have heard this before: Jones and Alyssa Thomas are elite DFS options, but you can never count on them to play 30+ minutes per game. Jones played 30 minutes Sunday in a game Connecticut won by 28, so I am cautiously optimistic about a similar workload Wednesday. Jones had 19 points, 16 rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes against Dallas on August 12, and she should have an even easier time with Glory Johnson out.
Alyssa Thomas, F, CON $  7,800 $     10,200Pretty much everything I wrote about Jonquel Jones also applies to Alyssa Thomas. Thomas has played at least 28 minutes in five of her last six games, so she might actually be slightly safer than Jones. Thomas had 21 points, 13 rebounds and four assists against Connecticut two weeks ago.
Tina Charles $  8,000 $     11,300The biggest concern for Charles is that the Liberty jump out to a giant lead and she barely touches the ball in the second half. That being said, Indiana is undersized, and they just surrendered 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists to Charles two weeks ago.
Layshia Clarendon, G, ATL $  4,800 $        7,200Clarendon was a top-five point guard in the WNBA as recently as three weeks ago, and while she played a season-low 15 minutes Saturday, she had 12 points and three assists. I think that is probably her floor, and the sky is the limit if she finds her form from July.
