We are only entering the third week of the season, and already I am feeling the pressure of writing this article. As many of you have noted on Twitter and elsewhere, the FantasyAlarm team has killed our DFS coverage, and this article, in particular, has been on point throughout. I will try to keep it going with my three favorite stacks for Monday’s nine-game slate as well as two more stacks (from the same game) that just missed the cut.

Atlanta Braves vs. Jered Weaver

Ender Inciarte, Dansby Swanson, Freddie Freeman, Nick Markakis, Brandon Phillips, Kurt Suzuki

Jered Weaver has allowed the fifth-lowest BABIP in baseball this season and he still has a 4.91 ERA. Even if you give him credit for getting through a Coors start largely unscathed, it is amazing to look at his unimpressive 2017 results and think they could be so much worse if he had even just an average BABIP against. In many ways, Dansby Swanson is the linchpin of this stack. He has been terrible so far this season, but nothing will bust a slump like facing Jered Weaver. Swanson helps keep the price down and has a ton of potential out of the two hole, though you could build a solid stack without him, considering Inciarte, Phillips and Markakis are all relatively cheap. Suzuki only has one hit this season, but he has a .291 batting average against Jered Weaver, and his price is right.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Robbie Ray

Logan Forsythe, Corey Seager, Justin Turner, Yasiel Puig, Yasmani Grandal

It should tell you everything you need to know that in a slate with nine games, Robbie Ray is the third-most expensive pitcher. Ray is a solid pitcher to be sure, but he has allowed 3.65 BB/9 in his career and he allowed 1.24 HR/9 last season. The Dodgers can take advantage, I suspect their ownership will be low even though the heart of their order is heating up. Yasiel Puig is 7-for-16 with a home run and six RBI during his five-game hitting streak. Justin Turner is 6-for-14 during his own four-game hitting streak. Logan Forsythe is 5-for-7 over his last two games. Yasmani Grandal had a .345 wOBA vs. lefties last season. Assuming they start, Kike Hernandez and Scott Van Slyke would be worth considering as well.

Cleveland Indians vs. Kyle Gibson

Carlos Santana, Francisco Lindor, Michael Brantley, Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Ramirez, Lonnie Chisenhall, Yan Gomes.

This is potentially the most expensive stack, especially on DraftKings, where you can play Carlos Santana and Edwin Encarnacion. Of the two, I would rather play Santana, even though it is difficult to leave Encarnacion out of a stack when he is batting fourth. Encarnacion is the only one of the stacking options who isn’t either riding a hot streak or have a strong history against Kyle Gibson. Francisco Lindor is 8-for-10 against Kyle Gibson and has hit four home runs during his 10-game hitting streak. Yan Gomes is 7-for-16 with two homers against Gibson. Jose Ramirez is 10-for-15 during his four-game hitting streak. Lonnie Chisenhall and Michael Brantley are 6-for-18 and 4-for-11 respectively against Gibson.
