We bounced back from a slightly rough Masters DFS Playbook with a much stronger showing for the RBC Heritage playbook. Aside from David Toms, who did not wind up playing, the only guy in the playbook who failed to make the cut was Rory Sabbatini. We also had the tournament winner in the playbook for the second consecutive week, as Jim Furyk won for the first time since 2010. It somehow seems fitting Furyk would break his long winless streak win one week after missing a cut for the first time since the 2013 British Open. I think we could see a similar player break his own winless streak this week.

Steve Stricker finished 28nd at The Masters despite having not played competitively in four months. Like Furyk, he is one of the most steady players on the PGA Tour. Stricker’s his 36-match cut streak is far and away the best on Tour; only Matt Kuchar has even half as many. Stricker costs a bit more than I expected on DraftKings this week, but the field drops off pretty precipitously after Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler. Stricker is clearly the best play outside of that top four, especially considering he has finished inside the top 15 in each of his last three starts at TPC Louisiana.

Rickie Fowler is conspicuous in his absence from this week’s playoff. His 17-match cut streak certainly makes him one of the safest picks this week, but he is still looking for his first top-10 of 2015. He could easily get it this week, but until he does I cannot justify paying a ton for him outside of the majors.

After Johnson, Day, Rose and Stricker the Zurich Classic field is pretty weak.  For that reason, I think you have to try to get at least two of those players in your DraftKings lineups. There are plenty of cheap options in this week’s playbook that can make this strategy possible, led by a couple of local players with some history at TPC Louisiana.
