Fantasy Baseball Daily League Sleepers, Value Plays, & MLB Daily Lineup Decisions for Tues. Sept. 3rd
by Michael Pichan (@FantasyNomad)
P Jarred Cosart Astros ($12,200, 12.2% of cap at Draft Kings- Play Now): I would suggest spending on some of the mid-tier pitching options like Gio Gonzalez, Kris Medlen, and/or Madison Bumgarner, but Cosart and the Astros are in a nice spot tonight against Pedro Hernandez and the Twins.
OF Denard Span Nats ($2,800, 6.9% of cap at Fan Duel- Play Now): Span has a 15 game hit streak going and you get the L/R matchup versus Phillies starter Ethan Martin and his 20-plus HR/FB rate.
1B Todd Helton Rockies ($7,300, 7.3% of cap at Draft Day- Play Now): 8-for-18, .444 in his career versus Dodgers starter Ricky Nolasco and the game is in Coors.
SS Jonathan Villar Astros ($7,100, 7.1% of cap Fan Throwdown- Play Now): The switch-hitting Villar, and the Astros as a whole, are in a good spot, as I mentioned about against Twins starter Pedro Hernandez.
2B Kolten Wong Cardinals ($4,794, 4.8% of cap at Draft Street- Play Now): Wong has played better on road, game is in hitter friendly GABP, and you get the L/R matchup versus Homer Bailey.
C Cody Clark Astros ($2,000, 4.0% of cap at Draft Kings- Play Now)- Best "punt" option out there at catcher.
