Weekly Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups

Hey Fantasy Hoopers, each Monday we will provide you with some players to target off the waiver wire, the percentage numbers indicate ownership. For those of you playing in weekly leagues take note that the Hawks and Nets play just once this week and the Pistons have only two games.

* Randy Foye (34%) Last week I said I was not a huge fan of Randy Foye, but at this point he does not look like he is slowing down as he owns the third highest efficiency rating over the last five games at 21.6%, behind only James Harden and Demar DeRozan, and he should continue to see plenty of minutes with some recent injuries to some Nuggets players and Andre Miller is no longer a part of the rotation. Foye is averaging 23.6 points on 55% shooting from the field and and four 3-pointers per game over the last five contests.

* Brian Roberts (5%) has not quite lived up to what he produced in five games as a starter last season (12.6 points and 10 assists), but the playing time should continue to be there and Roberts will have some favorable matchups coming up in the next two weeks, including the Spurs, Warriors, Kings, Pistons, Cavs, and TWolves whom all whom are in the top 10 of most Fantasy Points allowed to point guards on the season.

* Marco Belinelli (13%) leads the NBA in three point field goal percentage at 50.4% for those of you in roto leagues looking for a bump in 3-point production.

* Kris Humphries (11%) is in the top 10 in efficiency rating among power forwards over his last four games and is averaging 11.5 points (55 FG%), 8.3 rebounds, two assists, 2.3 blocks, and a steal per game over that span and is perfect from the charity stripe, which is a bonus for a big man.

* C.J. Miles (22%) Miles’ scoring production has not been affected too much with the recent acquisition of Luol Deng as he is averaging 15.5 points, two 3-pointers, and a steal in the two games since Deng arrived and Miles has remained in the team’s starting lineup playing the two, but is eligible both at the guard and forward position, which is an added bonus for those of you playing in position specific leagues.

* Al-Farouq Aminu (2%) is as inconsistent as they come, but Tyreke Evans continues to battle an ankle injury, Ryan Anderson is possibly out for the season, and Jrue Holiday is out for at least a month, so Aminu’s usage rate, and hopefully his production, will increase as we saw in his last game versus Dallas where he finished with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds and is averaging around a steal and a block per game on the season.

* Patrick Patterson (1%) has scored in double figures in four of his last five games, including a breakout double-double performance in his last game versus the Nets. Toronto plays four games this week and they start off with a Bucks team that is tied with the Lakers for the worst overall rebounding percentage as a team.

* Quincy Miller has been compared to Paul George by some, and whether you buy that even the least bit, he has started in place of the injured Wilson Chandler and with Anthony Randolph in a walking boot Miller should be able to carry decent value throughout the week. In his two recent starts Miller is averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 boards, and a block per game.

* Jason Thompson (3%) is flashing double-double potential, and has either scored in double figures or reached double-digit rebounds in three of his last four games while averaging 30-plus minutes in those four games. Thompson is also getting it done on the defensive side of the ball as he has five steals in his last three games combined.

* Jared Sullinger (53%) ownership dropped by about 25%, so if by some slim chance he is on waivers in your league snatch him up as he does not seem to be too hindered by his wrist injury as he has posted back-to-back double-doubles.

* Ed Davis (5%) is worth keeping an eye on in your deeper leagues, but has not quite reached consistent enough minutes or production to be owned in anything other than the deepest of leagues.

* Andrew Bynum (20%) now is the time to add the Big Malcontent before he signs with contender and his stock sky rockets.
