Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant

The Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant provides you daily recommendations in a four tiered format, with specific targets for GPP tournaments (Guaranteed Prize Payout tournaments) and separate players that may be more geared towards Double Up (DU) contests. It does not mean they are only worth playing in said format, just that I like them in that type of format a little more. (Since there are only five games this evening will skip separating the picks into GPP/DU segments and just provide you with some players that have the potential to meet or exceed their value tonight).

A-All Star priced players that should put up All Star stats today (target 35+ FP, $16,000-on up).

GPP

Kyrie Irving (16.7%) as pointed out in today’s Daily Dribble, Irving has been on fire the last two games sinking 20 of his 41 shots (5-for-12 from 3-point land) with 18 assists, and six steals while averaging 44 mpg. And for an added bonus Uncle Drew is averaging over six FP at home then on the road.

DU

Rudy Gay (17%) The Lakers are allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing small forwards on the season, so Rudy G (and teammate Isaiah Thomas) should have a field day with the extra opportunities they will have on the offensive end with DeMarcus Cousins out tonight serving a one-game suspension.

Stephen Curry (18%) we all remember the 54-point party Curry threw the last time he was in the Garden and after a 2-for-10 shooting performance his last game I am expecting that he saved all his made shots for tonight against a Knicks team that has won a whopping two whole games this month.

B-rated Ballers: Big name players with big games, but not as high of a price tag as the top five or so priced players at each position (around 30 FP, $13,000-$16,000).

GPP

Carlos Boozer (12.4%) has exceeded 22 FP in each of his last four games and is facing a Mavs team that is allowing the 8th most points per game to opposing power forwards on the season.

DU

Zach Randolph (12.9%) first name 10 second name 20 right? Well it should be as he is averaging a double-double in the three games this season against the Thunder (30 FP).

C-as in players that COULD be in line to provide you with good to great value in the mid-tier price range (target 25+ FP, $8,000-$13,000).

GPP

Alexis Ajinca (8.4%) regardless if Anthony Davis plays or not Ajinca has emerged as a solid fantasy contributor over his last three games as he is averaging 26-plus FP per contest. For more on Ajinca and Anthony Davis check out today's Daily Dribble.

DU

Ish Smith (9.8%) made us proud for those of you who took the advice and have played him lately, especially last game with Goran Dragic sidelined. Dragic said his ankle was really sore Friday morning, making it sound as if he may miss another game. If Dragic is out Smith becomes almost a must start again based on his inexpensive price tag and his recent production.

D-Discounted Dandies: Players on the cheap whose production may exceed what their discounted price tag suggests. (Double Digit Fantasy Production, $3,500-$8,000).

GPP

Luke Babbitt (5.8%) if Anthony Davis is out Luke Babbitt is expected to get the start as he is a better matchup against the versatile Channing Frye. Babbitt would only have to score about 12 FP to reach value, which he has done for the most part when he has seen 20 or so minutes since joining the Pelicans.

DU

Ben McLemore (7.1%) for the same reason I liked Rudy Gay above, McLemore should get a few more opportunites with Cousins out and not too often you can find a starter this far down the salary scale.

Best of Luck tonight and don’t be afraid to go rouge and post your questions in the comments section and/or send me a tweet @FantasyNomad. Also, be sure to check out this morning's Daily Dribble for more DFS insight.
