I am back from exile to close out the 2016-17 National Hockey League Regular Season with the final weekend of hockey before we reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs. First off, I’d like to thank both Brett Talley and Chris Wassel for helping keep the ship afloat, which is no easy task considering the absolutely ridiculousness that has gone on over the last few weeks of the season.

Yes, ridiculousness. ALL eight playoff teams in the West have been spoken for and there just really isn’t much left to play for other than some pride. On the other hand, the Eastern Conference is absolutely bananas with the final Wild Card spot STILL up for grabs. Right now, the Maple Leafs have a bit of an edge, with two games left to play compared to the Lightning, who only have one game left. The Islanders also have a shot, but they need to win both of their games, and hope the Leafs and Lightning blow it.

By the way, I am going to be covering the MAIN slates on both sites. Keep in mind that roster lock for the main slate on DK is going to be 6:00 PM ET while roster lock on FD is going to be 7:00 PM ET. I think if there’s anything you ABSOLUTELY have to do tonight is confirm that your players are actually playing tonight. Coaches tend to be more willing to do the NBA treatment at this time of year, so keep close to hockey Twitter in order to make sure you don’t take an automatic ZERO due to a scratch. If you’re playing on FD, I’d be more likely to put players who are in the early games in your lineups because you might not have any clue of what’ll happen later on in the West Coast games.

As I’ve mentioned before, you should keep in mind that the suggested stacks that are available for PRO subscribers are completely recommended for GPP tournaments only. There can be a ton of variance in hockey, so unless you have some out of this world confidence in a particular play, it’s generally not going to be a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket by stacking an entire line in 50/50 or double up tournaments.

If you have questions, please reach me via Twitter @kle18. It’s the best way to get in contact with me.
