Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 4-6-14

A lot of games on tap tonight, especially considering it is a Sunday night. Below are players I like based on value, production, and matchups. The cheap plays are players who should exceed their value while not costing a lot, the mid-tier group are players that should produce big numbers while not breaking the bank, and the expensive players are high priced players who are worth every penny.

Cheap Plays

*All prices and fantasy points (FP) are based on DraftStreets scoring system

Aaron Brooks- Have to start Chris Rock’s doppelganger today as he will be replacing Ty Lawson in the starting lineup. It also helps that he is under 10K. This is also a revenge game for him as he once played for the Rockets. Don’t be that guy that misses out on a big game from Brooks.

Draymond Green- Has put up solid numbers filling in for David Lee, whom is likely out again tonight. He is one of those players that doesn’t do anything great, but does a lot of things well. Expecta stat line of 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assist, 2 steals, 2 blocks as he will flirt with 30 FP. That is great considering how cheap he is on DS.

Mid-Tier Value Plays

Eric Bledsoe-  Had 43 FP in his last game vs Portland and gets to face another team that defends S’s poorly in OKC. Bledsoe demolished the Thunder for 26 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assist, and 3 steals last time he faced them. I will definitely be taking that upside tonight especially at his $13,723 price.

Rudy Gay- Always hard to trust Rudy, especially on sites that negate points for a miss shot, but he has played very well vs Dallas this season. He is averaging 32.5 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assist vs them in two games this season. Would use in GPP tournaments as his upside is huge. Also, like his teammate Ray McCallum, who has played 43 plus minutes in six straight games.

Terrence Jones- Is my diamond in the rough tonight because he faces the pathetic defense of the Denver Nuggets and had 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks the only time he played them this season. Great chance to exceed 30 FP while only costing $12,630. Get him in your lineups as he will shine like a diamond. (ha no more puns, I promise)

Expensive Plays

Russell Westbrook- Has to be in all lineups (assuming he plays) because his price is relatively cheap and he has OWNED the Suns this season by averaging 28.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 8 assist in their two meetings.

DeMarcus Cousins- If there is another player I am spending big on tonight than it is going to be on the “ Man Child”. Dallas can’t stop him, they can only hope to contain him, because he is averaging 24.5 points 13 rebounds, 4 assist, and 2.5 steals vs them this season. Center is very weak tonight so a few good options are Jermaine O’Neal, Samuel Dalembert, and Marc Gasol.

Short, but sweet today. Good luck out there and always feel free to hit me up on twitter @datrueguru with any Fantasy Basketball related question.
