Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays For 3-11-14
Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 3-11-14
Have no fear, Da Guru is here to help you out with those tough lineup decisions. There are a lot of players to use tonight because of all the juicy matchups. Below are players I like based on value, production, and matchups. The cheap plays are players who should exceed their value while not costing a lot, the mid-tier group are players that should produce big numbers while not breaking the bank, and the expensive players are high priced players who are worth every penny.
Before I go any further, here are some tournaments you should sign up for, if you want to win a lot of money.

* Fantasy Points (FP) are based on DraftKings scoring system.
Kyle Singler SG/SF, Det- Is starting for the Pistons and has played 30 minutes or more in four straight games. It is difficult to find players that are cheap and play that many minutes. Sacramento is giving up 47! FP to opposing shooting guards in the last 15 days. That is the worst in the NBA by almost 5 FP. He is my cheap play of the day.
Ben McLemore SG, Sac- If you are looking for a player near the minimum value, the B-Mac is your guy. He is playing 30 minutes a game and had 22 FP last time he played Detroit. While that isn’t a lot, it would be about seven times his value if he did that tonight. Also, Detroit is giving up 43 FP to opposing SGs in the last 15 days (second to last in the NBA).
Jeremy Lamb SG, OKC- I want to trust Lamb tonight, who is also dirt cheap and averaging 24 FP in two meetings vs Houston, but his minutes have dwindled as he is averaging only 13.5 minutes in the past three games. I am staying away from him and going with B-Mac instead.
Carlos Boozer PF, Chi- The fact he is in the cheap value section says a lot about his value tonight. “Booze Cruise” balled out with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 steals in only 25 minutes last time he played San Antonio. He is close to a must-start because of his low price tag and ability to produce solid numbers.
Mid-Tier Value Plays
Mike Conley PG, Mem- Love his price tag of only $11,822 on DraftStreet. He is averaging 35 FP at home and has a quality matchup vs Portland. He is a must-play on DS, but think his price a bit high on other sites.
Lance Stephenson SG/SF, Ind- Has been hard to trust recently because his production has been inconsistent. However, “Born Ready” has played some of his best basketball vs Indiana this season by averaging 12.7 points, 10 rebounds, 8.7 assist, 1.7 steals in three games. I would use him more in tournaments than in double ups.
Nikola Pekovic C, Min- Played more than 30 minutes last game vs Toronto, which was the first time he did that since returning from injury. He will be licking his chops with the delicious matchup vs Milwaukee. He is going to feast on the crappy frontcourt for the Bucks. My only concern is that this game becomes a blowout and Pekovic only gets 20-25 minutes. However, he did produced 41 FP vs Milwaukee earlier this season. I will be using him a lot tonight, as he is cheaper than the elite center options, but could produce at an elite level.
Dirk Nowitzki and Zach Randolph- Both are priced around the same level and both of them should have solid games. Z-Bo had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assist in his only meeting vs Portland this season. Dirk is averaging almost 40 FP in two meetings vs Golden State this season. I will be playing both players because they are reliable and will exceed their value.
Kevin Love or Kevin Durant that is the question? Both will put up monster fantasy points, but which one to choose? Love produced 65 FP vs Milwaukee earlier this season in only 34 minutes. On the other hand, KD is averaging 56.5 FP in two games vs Houston this season. I am choosing Durant because this is going to be a close, high scoring game. You can’t go wrong with either one though.
DeMarcus Cousins PF/C. Sac- This game is going to be a battle of talented players that hate playing defense. For example, the Boogie Man put up 51 FP last time he faced Detroit. I have no problem going with Boogie Cousins if I was going to pay a high price for a center.
Josh Smith SF/PF- Makes for a great tournament play as he crushed the Kings for 58.5 FP earlier this season. It is always hard to trust J-Smooth, but tonight could be one of those night where the juice is worth the squeeze. His price tag is expensive on most sites, but that is because of his huge upside. Passing on Smith will be a major mistake if he has another monster game.
LaMarcus Aldridge and Andre Drummond are some other expensive options that will produce plenty of fantasy points. I want to believe in James Harden tonight, but he hasn't played well vs the Thunder this season.
That is all I got for tonight. Good luck and feel free to tweet me any fantasy basketball related question @DaTrueGuru.
