Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 2-25-14

Plenty of solid value plays tonight as well as players with great machups. I break down players into three groups: Cheap Plays, Mid-Tier Values, and Expensive Plays. The cheap plays are players that are low in price, but offer high upside, the mid-tier value plays are players that will exceed their value, and the expensive plays are players who cost a lot, but should carry lineups with big fantasy numbers.

Cheap Plays

*Fantasy Points (FP) are based on DraftKings scoring system.

Trevor Booker PF, WSH- Nene Hilario is out 4-6 weeks with a knee injury, so Booker-T will get the start in his place. I was worried about Kevin Seraphin stealing minutes, but he is out tonight with a knee injury as well. That leaves Booker as the only reliable PF which means he will get plenty of minutes tonight. He is dirt cheap on all sites and will be in all of my lineups.

George Hill PG, Ind- This is more of a DraftStreet play because his price is only $7,470. That is insanely cheap for a starting PG who will play 30+ minutes and produce solid fantasy numbers. He had 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assist in his only meeting vs the Lakers.

Mike Scott PF, Atl- A lot of people will be playing him tonight because he will be playing plenty of minutes with all the injuries to the Hawks frontcourt. However, I will be fading him my lineups because I think he is overpriced on some sites (DS) and “Da Bulls” are a tough defensive team. Not saying he is a bad play, just would rather start Booker for a lower price.

Timofey Mozgov C, Den- Is a solid cheap center option tonight as he is going to be starting vs Portland. His “Per 36 Minutes” (what his stats would look like if he played 36 minutes per game) is 15 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks. He could get close to those numbers tonight as he will get around 30 minutes of playing time. He is more of GPP or cap relief type of play.

Jonas Valanciunas is another cheap center to target and Channing Frye had 34 FP last time vs Minnesota.

Mid-Tier Value Plays

Lance Stephenson SG/SF, Ind- Sir Lance-a lot will be putting up a lot of fantasy points tonight vs the Lakers. He had a huge stat line last time he faced them with 15 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assist, and steals. If the price is right then don’t be scared to start him.

Carlos Boozer PF,Chi- Is on here because of his low price tag and excellent matchup vs the depleted Hawks frontcourt. I do worry about his playing time because he hasn't played more than 29 minutes since returning from injury.

Tobias Harris PF,Orl- Already talked about the lack of depth for the Wizards frontcourt and Harris should take full advantage of this juicy matchup. Also, he has produced 30 FP or more in four straight games. He is priced kind of high on DS, but like his value on DK and Fanduel.

Nicolas Batum SF, Por- Everything is adding up for another monster game as Denver is terrible vs opposing SFs. He will be asked to do a lot more with LaMarcus Aldridge out tonight. Also is averaging 13.5 points, 6 rebounds, 6.5 assist in two games vs Denver. Will be playing him in a lot of lineups tonight.

Wesley Matthews makes for a great value play as well because he has averaged 39 FP in two games vs Denver this season.

Expensive Plays

Kevin Love PF/C, Min - He is a great fade option tonight because his price is very high and he is dealing with some lingering injuries. There are better options out there.

James Harden SG/SF, Hou- Is one of those better options, as he is averaging 46.4 FP in three games vs Sacramento this season. Believe he will be one of the top producers tonight.

Joakim Noah- Dominated the Hawks last time he faced them by posting a triple-double for 65.5 FP. Don't believe he scores 60+ FP tonight, but 50 is not out of the question. He is worth every penny tonight and is my top option at center. Dwight Howard and DeMarcus Cousins will be playing each other so other players on their teams will step up and produce .

Love Goran Dragic, Damian Lillard , Isaiah Thomas, and Kyle Lowry tonight and would go with the lowest priced one, but I rank them in the order I have them. It helps that all four have excellent matchups.

Rudy Gay is another player with a superb matchup and can trusted as long as his price isn't too high.
