Point Guards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Russell Westbrook | OKC | 4 | Still dominating all categories and carrying the Thunder on his back. The Oscar Robertson season continues. |
2 | James Harden | HOU | 3 | Not a full slate but it doesn't matter as Harden continues to try to keep up with Russell Westbrook's production. He always produces. |
3 | Isaiah Thomas | BOS | 4 | Especially with Al Horford and Avery Bradley hurt, Thomas continues to take on most of the offensive burden to keep the Celtics in the win column. |
4 | Kyle Lowry | TOR | 4 | Even with DeMar DeRozan's ankle feeling better, Lowry will continue to be a multi-category producer and is good at balancing being a playmaker vs scorer. |
5 | Eric Bledsoe | PHX | 4 | Bledsoe has been picking up the scoring as the Suns front court continues to struggle offensively and he has done a good job with his drive. |
6 | John Wall | WSH | 3 | The great season for Wall continues as he is averaging in double figures in assists and continues to attack the rim often. |
7 | Stephen Curry | GSW | 3 | Even when not at 100 percent, Curry is still able to make a huge impact all over the floor and his shot motion does not seem impacted by the sore quad. |
8 | Damian Lillard | POR | 3 | Lillard continues to be the Blazers No. 1 option as their front court continues to have trouble providing any offense. |
9 | Mike Conley | MEM | 4 | Conley continues to utilize his mid range game effectively as he calls for screens right around the free-throw line. He is not doing too much with the ball. |
10 | Kyrie Irving | CLE | 3 | Irving has been solid offensively, but the Cavs are starting to look away from him once he starts showing fatigue. It's hard to rely on him for 40 effective minutes. |
11 | Kemba Walker | CHA | 3 | Walker has been excellent both on the drive and scoring from the wing. He has a nice stutter-step when driving in and spends the most time with the ball. |
12 | Reggie Jackson | DET | 4 | Jackson has been in trade rumors and is showing off his scoring ability more and more. Jackson will provide minor rebound, assist and steals help. |
13 | Goran Dragic | MIA | 3 | With Tyler Johnson in and out of the lineup, a lot of the scoring continues to fall on Dragic despite being a more effective playmaker. The Heat need him to shoot. |
14 | Jeff Teague | IND | 3 | Teague continues to have big games on a scoring and assist front because not only does he spend the most time with the ball, but Paul George does not call for it all the time. |
15 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 3 | Holiday continues to be the Pelicans top ball-handler and second scoring option. He should be providing a balanced stat line each time out do to lack of depth. |
16 | Elfrid Payton | ORL | 4 | Payton has needed to pick up the scoring with top shooting option Evan Fournier on the shelf. He is a playmaker who has picked up more shots and ORL struggles offensively. |
17 | Dennis Schroder | ATL | 3 | Schroder will have the most time with the ball and he has been taking more and more shots in games do to Paul Millsap drawing the double and Kyle Korver traded away. |
18 | Ricky Rubio | MIN | 4 | Rubio is an offensive liability when he shoots, but is still a fantastic passer. He will get a good amount of open three-point opportuinities, but expect assists and steals. |
19 | Darren Collison | SAC | 4 | With Rudy Gay out for the year, Collison picks up even more time with the ball and a ton more shots. He should be the second scoring option for the rest of the way. |
20 | Marcus Smart | BOS | 4 | Smart has been getting starts with Avery Bradley out and he has done a good job spreading the floor and hitting the open kockdown three when Isaiah Thomas gets doubled. |

Shooting Guards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | DeMar DeRozan | TOR | 4 | DeRozan is back in the lineup and hopefully does not show any sign of swelling. The fact that he played over 30 minutes in his first game back is a great sign for a full week of play. |
2 | C.J. McCollum | POR | 3 | With the SG position being very top-heavy, the Blazers continue to struggle inside and McCollum serves as a nice wingman for Lillard and is a reliable scorer. |
3 | Zach LaVine | MIN | 4 | LaVine has been doing a better job of balancing his attack to the rim versus shooting. There is a lot more pressure on him to shoot when Rubio is out of the lineup. |
4 | Devin Booker | PHX | 4 | Booker continues to help Bledsoe as much as McCollum helps Lillard. Suns inside is not very effective and Booker's perimeter shooting is needed. |
5 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 3 | Beal continues to make strides in moving around more when Wall is creating and driving. Waiting on the wing won't always get you looks or open shots. |
6 | Nicolas Batum | CHA | 3 | Batum continues to be a consistent help on both sides of the floor as he can always be relied on for scoring, three's, rebounds and will even help with steals and blocks. |
7 | Victor Oladipo | OKC | 4 | With Enes Kanter out, the Thunder are going to have to use Oladipo's perimeter shooting ability a bit more to balance out their offense until he comes back. Expect more shots. |
8 | Wilson Chandler | DEN | 4 | Chandler continues to impress at multiple positions on the floor and that will continue to translate to more playing time. He can bring up the ball effectively and is good on both sides of the ball. |
9 | Klay Thompson | GSW | 3 | Thompson is a volume scorer to the point that if he is hot, he will get fed five or six possesions in a row and his shot motion is very smooth. |
10 | Kentavious Caldwell-Pope | DET | 4 | KCP has been a big help on both sides of the ball and the fact that he can switch to other spots of the court and be an effective elbow shooter. He will bang a bit in the high post. |
11 | Sean Kilpatrick | BKN | 4 | As Jeremy Lin continues to heal, Kilpatrick will continue to get a ton of shots each game and will provide minor rebounding and assist help too. |
12 | Eric Gordon | HOU | 3 | Gordon has been a good bailout option for drive-first Rockets players, but if he see's an opening, he will abandon his position at the arc and cut right inside. |
13 | Bojan Bogdanovic | BKN | 4 | Someone has to score for the Nets and Bogdanovic has been in a better rhythm lately and continues to be a good perimeter shooter as well. The Nets need all of the help they can get. |
14 | Lou Williams | LAL | 3 | With D'Angelo Russell still hurting, Williams will be needed on both sides of the ball and he will get a lot more shots and time with the ball, especially if Julius Randle needs to miss a game. |
15 | Gary Harris | DEN | 4 | Harris has been able to stay healthy and he is getting time to create on the elbow with the ball and is good at spreading the floor and has been a big help with Mudiay hurt. |
16 | Wesley Matthews | DAL | 3 | Matthews can become a big match up problem when he starts posting up. He will look to back his way in and take turnaround jumpers. He will provide rebounding and steals help as well. |
17 | Dion Waiters | MIA | 3 | Waiters has been getting the starts and shots to be a legit SG option and with Tyler Johnson ailing from a shoulder injury, he will continue to see more shots. |
18 | Gordon Hayward | UT | 2 | Hayward is a top SG option and the Jazz top scoring option, but he draws the short slate this week. |
19 | Tyler Johnson | MIA | 3 | Johnson will get a ton of shots and time with the ball when healthy, but his shoulder continues to be sore and he may miss a game or two this week. |
20 | J.J. Redick | LAC | 3 | Redick is a bit scoring dependant, but with Chris Paul out, they need him to spread the floor and he will cut to the basket and run his defender around all over the court. |

Small Forwards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Kevin Durant | GSW | 3 | Durant continues to play the role of X-Factor on the Warriors and he has been doing a good job of attacking the paint when the ball is shot, even when it's him shooting. |
2 | LeBron James | CLE | 3 | James continues to attack the basket with force and see very few obstacles who can stop his drive. He only takes bad fall away jumpers when the shot clock is winding down. |
3 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 3 | The Greek Freak continues to play multiple positions and he gets the most time with the ball each game. He is a reliable shooter inside and outside. |
4 | Kawhi Leonard | SAS | 3 | Leonard is healthy again and with Pau Gasol hurt, he will need to create more from the elbow (his usual spot from previous years). He will still be an outside threat. |
5 | Paul George | IND | 3 | George continues to create very well from different angles. He makes his decision very quickly whether or not he is going to shoot, drive or pass off. Very effective defender. |
6 | Carmelo Anthony | NY | 3 | "Melo Isolation" is not fun, but owners know he will always take a lot of shots and somehow grab six to seven rebounds. Could his time in NY be coming to an end? Probably not. |
7 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 4 | Wiggins has had a few big games recently in which not only his scoring has stood out, but inside passing has helped him contribute assists. He has been getting more time with the ball. |
8 | Danilo Gallinari | DEN | 4 | With the Nuggets mid-court healthy, Gallinari will still get ample time on the court, but his shot will need to be on in order to get fed now that Harris, Barton and Chandler are healthy. |
9 | Tobias Harris | DET | 4 | Harris will get his time to create and he is the best attacker between him, Jon Leuer and Marcus Morris. Harris will attack the middle of the paint to draw contact and defends well. |
10 | Jae Crowder | BOS | 4 | Crowder is doing his best to be an enforcer inside, and he is a lot better at guarding the perimeter than the paint. To his credit, he is always trying to muscle his way inside when posting. |
11 | Ersan Ilyasova | PHI | 4 | As the Sixers second scoring option, sometimes first when Joel Embiid is not playing, we can always look to expect elbow and perimeter jumpers as well as six to seven boards per game. |
12 | Harrison Barnes | DAL | 3 | Barnes has improved his scoring as it seems Dirk Nowitzki is finally showing his age and Barnes has done an excellent job of defending the perimeter and then driving a ton on offense. |
13 | Otto Porter | WSH | 3 | Porter's defense is his best offense and it keeps him on the floor, but like Trevor Ariza, he sees a ton of open jumpers because Wall is very drive-first with his style. |
14 | Robert Covington | PHI | 4 | Covington has improved his all-around game since his miserable start to the season and is using the post more effectively and continues to draw a lot of contact. |
15 | Will Barton | DEN | 4 | Barton has been using his post games and has good turn around shooting ability. From that same elbow, Barton will not be afraid to body up anyone and that will keep him in games more. |
16 | Aaron Gordon | ORL | 4 | Gordon can't be relied on each night as a top scoring option, but with Fournier still hurt, he has needed to shoot and should look to utilize his agility and drive more. He has the ups! |
17 | T.J. Warren | PHX | 4 | Warren has a commited rotation spot, but his playing time frustrates and it seems to fully depend on if his shots are falling. The good news is, the Suns mid-court is not that competitive. |
18 | Jimmy Butler | CHI | 2 | Butler has great all-around ability and is apparently playing "buddy ball" with Dwayne Wade, giving him more time with the ball. He has a short slate this week. |
19 | Trevor Ariza | HOU | 3 | Ariza can always be relied on to hit the open outside jumper, but it will always be his defense that keeps him in the game and can be relied on for steals. |
20 | James Johnson | MIA | 3 | Johnson has not only been helping out big-time with scoring (with Tyler Johnson hurt) but he has also been a big help on the glass and can rotate to PF. This will give him more PT. |

Power Forwards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Anthony Davis | NO | 3 | As much as it scares us every time AD falls each game and has to go get precautionary X-rays, he is by far the highest producer of the Power Forwards this season. |
2 | Blake Griffin | LAC | 3 | Due to the Clippers needing an inside presence to survive the week with Chris Paul out, Griffin will need to play more time and he has been very effective w/o 30 minutes since returning. |
3 | Paul Millsap | ATL | 3 | Millsap will continue to pick up more shots and will have to utilize his mid range game because teams know to trap him in the paint and the Hawks lack consistent weapons. |
4 | Kristaps Porzingis | NY | 3 | Porzingis looks like the Achilles injury is behind him and he can be relied on each game for points, three's, rebounds and blocks. If the Knicks trade Anthony, he can grow even more. |
5 | Serge Ibaka | ORL | 4 | The Magic need all of the scoring they can get and despite not agreeing with Ibaka's style of hanging out at the key on offense, he will continue to get open jumpers with Fournier out. |
6 | Jabari Parker | MIL | 3 | Parker has been excellent on both sides the ball and has been a good second scoring option for the Bucks. Parker drives down the middle of the lane with confidence and has quick post moves. |
7 | Draymond Green | GSW | 3 | Green continues to control the inside for the Warriors and it is very difficult to box him out. He may not score 20 points each game but he will always grab rebounds. |
8 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 3 | Aldridge will continue to get a lot more time with the ball and in the post with Pau Gasol out. He will start inside and then pop his way back out to get open for a long-range jumper. |
9 | Nikola Jokic | DEN | 4 | Jokic has been amazing in the last few weeks. He has become a top value in DFS, but he is suffering from a hip injury and could miss a game this week, possibly more. |
10 | Zach Randolph | MEM | 4 | Randolph continues to be aggressive in the paint and his mid-range game is on point and does not need to be open in order to hit jumpers. |
11 | Gorgui Dieng | MIN | 4 | Dieng has devleloped a small mid-range game that he will use and gets open jumpers, but you can always rely on him for dirty work stats of rebounds, blocks and steals. |
12 | Trevor Booker | BKN | 4 | Booker continues to be the Nets most dominant rebounder and even though he has been under the weather, the Nets need his inside presence. |
13 | Marcus Morris | DET | 4 | Morris will still produce despite the crowded mid-court in Detroit and he has a consistent mid-range jumper and won't be afraid to drive inside. He plays big on defense. |
14 | Kenneth Faried | DEN | 4 | Faried can always be relied on for rebounding, but now with Jokic hurt and possibly missing a couple of games, he becomes the primary inside option even for scoring. |
15 | Markieff Morris | WSH | 3 | Morris continues to hit baby jumpers and play effectively inside on both sides of the floor. It is hard to box Morris out as he will use his long arms to rebound over people. |
16 | Dirk Nowitzki | DAL | 3 | Is Dirk not over his injury? Will he not be as much of an impact player? He does not look the same on the floor. Eventually time catches up with athletes. |
17 | Ryan Anderson | HOU | 3 | Anderson continues to be a match up nightmare as he is deadly from the outside and if he is hitting consistently, he will stay out of the paint for the entire game. |
18 | Thaddeus Young | IND | 3 | Young has been driving better and providing a bit more offense. He is alwayss a reliable post defender as he doesn't allow the opposition to square up to get a good look at the hoop. |
19 | Julius Randle | LAL | 3 | Randle has been sick with Pneumonia and if he ends up playing this week, he's the Lakers most effective player, but he is very sick and could miss time this week. |
20 | Kevin Love | CLE | 3 | Love will miss at least one game this week with back spasms, possibly more. It could be a short week for him. |

Centers
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | DeMarcus Cousins | SAC | 4 | Boogie will continue to be an even BIGGER Boogie with second option Rudy Gay out for the rest of the season. |
2 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 4 | Towns is back in the second spot with a full slate of games and continues to be one of the best all-around Centers in just his second season. |
3 | Marc Gasol | MEM | 4 | Gasol has been playing much better and has been using his size more inside rather than just always setting up on the arc. He is an effective long-range shooter. |
4 | Andre Drummond | DET | 4 | Easily could be the hardest player in the league to box out and with a full slate of games, expect a ton of rebounds, blocks and cheap scoring. |
5 | Brook Lopez | BKN | 4 | As much as I hate on Lopez every week due to the lack of rebounding, he is a great shooter for a big man and a top scoring option for the Nets. |
6 | Hassan Whiteside | MIA | 3 | Whiteside is an incredible inside player and it seems at times that he's the only inside player on the Heat. Helps in most categories at a high level. |
7 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 4 | Vucevic has been named in the trade rumors and especially with Fournier still hurting, expect a ton of playing time and time with the ball to create in the post. |
8 | Joel Embiid | PHI | 4 | We all Trust the Process, but he could miss a game or two this week because of his knee and the process itself of keeping him healthy on a minutes limit. |
9 | Al Horford | BOS | 4 | Horford's groin continues to act up and we are unsure if he will need to sit a game or two this week. |
10 | Dwight Howard | ATL | 3 | Howard continues to play effectively inside and doesn't need a lot of time to grab a ton of rebounds and score inside. Playing a lot more motivated this season. |
11 | DeAndre Jordan | LAC | 3 | Even with Chris Paul in, Jordan is a fantastic defender but very limited on offense. Always expect rebounds and blocks. |
12 | Jonas Valanciunas | TOR | 4 | Valanciunas has been a big help on the glass and at the top of the paint taking mid range jumpers. He has been staying healthy this season and is a good third scoring option. |
13 | Steven Adams | OKC | 4 | With Enes Kanter out for a bit, Adams will need to play even more time as the Thunder now lack depth inside. The Thunder will need to feed him more when facing good defensive teams. |
14 | Tyson Chandler | PHX | 4 | Chandler is another Center who you can absolutely rely on for rebounds and blocks, but scoring does not always come easy for Mr. Chandler. |
15 | Myles Turner | IND | 3 | Turner is good at crashing the boards as you always seem him run inside as soon as the shot is put up. He is good at gaining positioning for rebounds. |
16 | Marcin Gortat | WSH | 3 | Gortat is a strict inside player that is always good for put backs and he does have a couple of one-handed post moves he relies on. He continues to cut off the ball more. |
17 | Mason Plumlee | POR | 3 | Plumlee is the Blazers most reliable inside player on offense and he will attack bigger defenders. Due to the lack of depth, the Blazers will need to continue to force the ball to Plumlee. |
18 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 2 | Gobert has been excellent and has even improved his offensive game inside as Derrick Favors has become a bit of a non-factor, but with the two game slate, he moves down the rankings. |
19 | Tristan Thompson | CLE | 3 | Thompson will get a decent amount of put backs, but specializes in running the pick n roll and with no competition at the position and Love hurt, he can get more involved. |
20 | Clint Capela | HOU | 3 | Capela's minutes remain in the 20's but the Rockets need him and he is starting to get back in the groove and because they don't have inside weapons, Capela will produce more this week. |
