Over the past few years during the NFL season, Ted Schuster and I have been doing a segment on the SiriusXM radio show called “Right, Wrong or Indifferent.” Basically what this means is a scorecard for all of the predictions, rankings and recommendations we gave out during the previous week for fantasy football.

I feel very strongly about users (readers, listeners, customers, etc) holding fantasy analysts responsible for the information and advice they pass along. To be honest, its way too easy for us to disguise our analysis on a week in and week out basis because there are thousands of excuses to be made. After all, we aren’t the ones playing the game, right? Well, nah, eff that. We need to be held accountable. If we aren’t then its too easy to become soft and not pay as much attention or not watch the games that we are trying to make sense out of. You guys deserve better.

Thus, I will be putting our radio segment down on paper and posting it right here each week on the Fantasy Alarm site. I encourage you to help be hold myself (and Ted!) accountable for the information that we provide. Now be careful here because if you are going to try and come at me with blame for something I didn’t say or take my thoughts out of context than I reserve the right to fire back at you. And you had better believe that I will. Just stick to the actual things that I say and we should have no problems.

This is a good spot to post your submissions for our Haterade segment on the SiriusXM show as well. Just light me on fire in the most negative way possible in the comments section, on the Fantasy Alarm Forums or on Twitter (@Jeff_Mans).

Here is my Right, Wrong & Indifferent for Week 12:

RIGHT

Colin Kaepernick, QB, 49ers

In many scoring formats, Kaepernick was the highest scoring fantasy QB this week. I am very surprised that more people didn’t catch on to the narrative here with Kaepernick playing in Miami for the first time. I had no idea that he would praise Fidel Castro in the process but what can you do. The prediction of 100 rushing yards was dead on the money and speaking of money, we won a lot of it with Kaepernick this weekend.

Cam Newton, QB, Panthers

I would love to just list the entire Panthers/Raiders game because I was right on about the game flow there. The problem is there was a lot of production in that game from random players like Seth Roberts and Ted Ginn who I wasn’t nearly as high on. But I would say that Cam and Kap were two phenomenal DFS QB’s for all of us this week.

LeSean McCoy, RB, Bills

I felt like a buzzard circling around the carcass of McCoy all week long. The matchup was terrific, Gillislee being out was going to bump up his already high usage percentage and he was modestly priced compared to other star level RB’s. But I wanted to make sure that his thumb was good enough to hold up to a heavy workload. So, I made the switch from Jay Ajayi to LeSean McCoy on Sunday morning and it was the best move I could have made.

Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers

The other piece of the Panthers offense that I was high on this week and he wound up being a top six fantasy running back. I was really high on Stewart in seasonal this week as he was a top 13 option in my rankings.

Michael Thomas, WR, Saints

Thomas is an interesting play as I was not high on the Saints offense this week despite playing at home and I didn’t like Brandin Cooks at all. The Cooks side worked out well that is for sure but I never would have thought that he’d be blanked. Thomas had a great CB matchup and has been the Saints most reliable receiver anyways. The only receiver that scored more than Thomas this week was Antonio Brown on Thursday against the Colts.

Michael Crabtree, WR, Raiders

The Crabtree whisperer strikes again! I seriously cannot believe that I have been right on about Crabtree all season long. There is no way to be right on any player every single week of the season but that is where I’m at with the King Crab right now. We’ll try and keep the streak alive this week so tune into the Friday afternoon edition of the Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM for my official Crabtree verdict of the week.

Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Eagles

Not a super outing from DGB but having him all over our Sunday-Monday DFS NFL contests and in every single Monday-Thursday Optimal Lineup provided us with a tremendous value. DGB went 6-82 but easily could have been more if only the penalties and red zone deficiencies didn’t kill the Eagles offense.

Jordan Reed, TE, Redskins

You know that I had to put Reed in here after the anger I generated on social media from Redskins fans and Reed truthers. I loved Reed this week as he was my #1 fantasy TE across the board. But his injury definitely scared the diahhrea out of me. I’m thrilled that he came back into the game and delivered another half dozen catches and a touchdown.

Others I Was Right About

Kirk Cousins, QB, Redskins

David Johnson, RB, Cardinals

Jay Ajayi, RB, Dolphins

Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys

Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Giants

Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs

DeSean Jackson, WR, Redskins

Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Vikings

Eric Ebron, TE, Lions

WRONG

Drew Brees, QB, Saints

So pissed at myself for backing out of the Saints offense at home against the Rams. I’ve been overvaluing the Rams defense all season long and though they are good, they have not been able to stop any real potent offenses this year.

Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks

I just can’t get this guy right. I’m very happy that I didn’t use Russell Wilson in cash games this week because that was the way that I was leaning all week long. My Saturday simulations and rerun of the Playbook model showed me that this Seahawks offense produces only at maximum efficiency which is impossible to obtain every time out. I was still way too high on Wilson which tells me that I should just stay in my lane and continue to ignore Russ in fantasy football.

Mark Ingram, RB, Saints

Not only did I not recommend Ingram to anyone this week, I actually talked numerous folks out of starting him. I really thought that Tim Hightower would get a larger piece of the action and favored him in all forms of my rankings in week 12. This was a big miss by me.

Spencer Ware, RB, Chiefs

Ware wasn’t awful but I had him as a solid top 10 option in both seasonal and DFS this week. He is a tough runner but looks slow as of late. He is having some problems getting to the edge of a defense and thus isn’t picking up many big gains.

Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals

Another player that wasn’t awful but also didn’t live up to my expectations this week. In fact, I have declared myself officially out of the Fitzgerald game for the rest of this season. Bruce Arians and Carson Palmer are two people that I don’t want anything else to do with in 2016. I love Fitzgerald but I can’t stomach watching him waste away on this terribly run offense.

Sterling Shepard, WR, Giants

This one briefly looked as though it was a stroke of genius when OBJ went down with a thumb injury on the first drive of the game. But Beckham came back in and Shepard didn’t touch the ball until the last five minutes of the game and that was on an end around carry.

Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs

I wasn’t going anywhere near Kelce this week as I’ve grown real tired of his inconsistency. But he did tear up the Broncos defense to be the third highest scoring tight end of the week.

Others I Was Wrong About

Trevor Siemian, QB, Broncos

Theo Riddick, RB, Lions

Doug Baldwin, WR, Seahawks

Taylor Gabriel, WR, Falcons

Cameron Meredith, WR, Bears

Greg Olsen, TE, Panthers

INDIFFERENT

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers

I was really invested in the Steelers/Colts game but when Andrew Luck was ruled out with a concussion it immediately downgraded them for me. I was still high on Big Ben and his three touchdowns definitely were a plus but his yardage total left a lot of points on the table.

Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons

I am one of the biggest Freeman marks in the fantasy industry but even I didn’t think he would put a 20 spot up on the Cardinals this week. It seems as though Freeman needs Tevin Coleman around in order to motivate him or something because he really runs harder when he is around.

Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Panthers

I was crazy high on Benjamin this week and after his first two dropped passes felt that familiar sting of “why did I fall for it again?” But then he had a meltdown and started screaming and yelling at Panthers coaches and even teammates. This resulted in him being taken out of the game by head coach Ron Rivera. Eventually, Benjamin came back in and caught two passes including a 44 yard touchdown.

Sammy Watkins, WR, Bills

I told everybody to stay away from Watkins this week as his foot injury, snap count, matchup and QB all bothered me. I have to admit that he looked much better than I thought that he would but the 3-80 was nothing that we really missed out on either.

Delanie Walker, TE, Titans

Walker was my top tight end this week. I was a little nervous about his knee injury coming in but he appeared to be in fine form right from the start. Three catches, 50 yards are disappointing but the touchdown catch saved him from the wrong pile.
