We are at the point in the season where we can start relying less on our seasonal projections (which I constantly say are worthless) and more on what we have learned already this season. Three games isn't a large sample size but its enough to start looking at the trends of which teams are doing well in certain areas. I normally wait until we are four weeks in before I dig through all of the statistics and analytics but I decided to start a week early this year. Over the next few weeks I will be weighting this years stats in more and more to my DFS NFL Playbook formulas.

REMEMBER: I posted the complete Week 4 Matchup Report earlier this week for DFS Playbook PRO subscribers. So, if you saw that you already know which numbers are jumping off the page this week.

This week sets up similarly to last week but with a much more stable group of players in play. The idea of spending down at the QB and WR position while locking in some top RB's is the goal of a cash game lineup this week. There are a few RB's though that you will see here that are value guys in good situations. Jordan Howard is in a great spot but he will be incredibly highly owned and we are not sure on how the Bears intend to distribute their backfield snaps just yet. The suspicion is Howard all of the way but with this ownership number (35% on Thursday contests) and the role uncertainty I am looking other places in cash. Carlos Hyde's price on DK is an absolute joke and thus its will be nearly impossible to keep him out of your lineup in any contest format.

There are a lot of value WR's to like this week. You'll notice in the Playbook that there are only a few of the "stud WR's" that I consider in play for use this week. You should understand though that players like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones and Odell Beckham Jr. are always techically in play. The only time I wouldn't even consider playing them is in some sort of freak weather condition and with a bad matchup. Just because you might not see one of them in here doesn't mean you couldn't consider them in tournaments this week.

My weakeset positions this week just so happen to be the two with the most variance in kicker and DST. There really aren't any DST's that stand out to me this weekend other than the Redskins who are kind of pricey and have a bunch of injuries. Likewise at kicker there just isn't anybody that jumps off the page unless you consider Dustin Hopkins or paying up for the likes of a Justin Tucker.
