By now you should already know what I am about to say. That's right...I hate split slates in DFS MLB. Frankly I usually play very little early slate action and focus more of my energy toward the evening slate of games. But today is different. The early slate has plenty of big money contests and features almost half of the games in MLB today. There is also a clear spearation between pitchers and hitters in these two slates. The pitching is completely front loaded in the early slate while a vast majority of the premium hitters are playing in the evening. I've done my best to make sense of all of this for you guys but I will also refer you to my opening remarks anytime you think that you want to blame me for the lack of options.

This is the day where the DFS MLB Rankings, which are available to our Playbook PRO subscribers, come in extremely valuable. The Rankings and this Playbook are for the all day slate. The DFS MLB Optimal Lineups will be split for the early slate and then another for Wednesday evening slate.

Two of the early games have some possibility of weather interrupting play. The Royals/Twins game has about a 50% chance of thunderstorms coming into the Target Field area and that could cause a delay of this ballgame. Overall though this contest will get in unless the Twins President wants to once again call a game due to cloudy conditions. The other game to watch is in my hometown of Chicago where the Indians/White Sox are in danger of delays as well. There is a 40% chance of storms in the U.S. Cellular Field area throughout this ballgame. PLEASE check our weather updates on our Lineups Page to see what the latest conditions are at all of the ballparks before you finalize your lineups.

Here is the DFS MLB Playbook for Wednesday May 25th:
