Why would you ever want the Fantasy Football season to end?  The truth is that we don’t and thanks to Real Time Sports, it doesn’t have to!  After all, now that you finally have a grasp on which players and teams are for real, it is time to strike.  This Postseason rtsports.com is offering $150,000 in cash prizes to the winners of their Postseason Shootout contest.

The best part about Playoff Fantasy Football is you don’t have all of those schlubby players clogging lineups and clouding decision making.  It is a blessing to not have to even consider Eli Manning, Ray Rice or Kendall Wright anymore.  The only trick remaining is figuring out which teams are going to be playing in East Rutherford, New Jersey on February 2nd?

To figure this out I strongly suggest going game by game through all of the matchups of the NFL Playoffs.  If you sit here and just assume the Broncos and the Seahawks will be playing on the Ice Bowl come February, you may be missing some major pitfalls as far as matchups along the way.

In RT Sports Postseason Shootout you can only have a maximum of two players from any team.  This obviously adds to the strategy and to the drama.  At this point, the only team that I can guarantee will play in at least two games this postseason is the Cincinnati Bengals.  This leaves A.J. Green as an incredibly valuable WR and his QB Andy Dalton as a very interesting play as well.  But are those the two Bengals you want to use?  Because Giovanni Bernard could also make a huge dent this postseason and Bengals kicker Mike Nugent is also a very solid play.

By the way in this contest I am competing against the likes of Rick Wolf, Glenn Colton and Ray Flowers.  Now Ray and I are buds and are now also officially co-workers here at Fantasy Alarm.  But I’ll be damned if I’m going to let a BASEBALL guy come in and swipe that $50,000 top prize!!  So, this should be just another reason for you to play in the rtsports.com Postseason Shootout.  Keep the money away from Ray Flowers!!

(Now back to our originally scheduled article)

My strategy going into this contest it to draft the team that will have the most games played in this postseason.  Therefore I am going to leave out some great players like JaMaal Charles, LeSean McCoy and Keenan Allen.  This is risky for sure because each of those players could erupt and advance their teams further but I just don’t see it happening.

Therefore, I am putting my faith in the following players:

QB – Colin Kaepernick (49ers) – The colder it gets in Green Bay the more I like the 49ers.  Plus, did you see what Kaepernick did to the healthy Packers defense earlier this season?  I believe that the 49ers very well could be the NFC representative in Super Bowl 48.

RB – Marshawn Lynch (Seahawks) – If the Seahawks advance to the Super Bowl this year it will not be because of Russell Wilson.  Beast Mode will get the most carries of any RB this postseason and therefore is a lock for solid production even if the Seahawks only play twice.

WR – A.J. Green (Bengals) – As I mentioned above, the Bengals are the only team I can guarantee will play at least two games and therefore Green is a sensational play in this contest.

FLEX – Vernon Davis (49ers) – I can only use two 49ers on this squad and Davis gets that second nod for me.  I feel like since there is no mandatory TE required for this contest many will forget about using one as a FLEX play.  Davis has been a TD machine this year for the 49ers and fantasy owners.

Do you want to know the rest of my team?  Find out for yourself by claiming a spot in the rtsports.com Postseason Shootout!!  Play against me and compare our scores after every game this postseason.  Best of all is that when you beat me you can talk trash to me and tell me how much I suck all offseason long.

Good luck you filthy animals!!
