I hate split slates in DFS MLB. I do. What happens with split slates for us here with the DFS Playbook is that we run our model for the full day of MLB games and generate the players who are in the best spots for success today. Then we realize that 90% of them are in either the early or late slate. What usually happens is that the best plays wind up being in the slate with the least amount of contests and/or potential winnings. Today both the better pitching and hitting happen to be featured in the early slate. Yet, the big money contests are all in the evening as they usually are. I have done my best to provide worthy options for both slates of games today. But days like this is where it really pays off to be a DFS Playbook subscriber where you have the top 10 players at each position and optimal lineups for each slate at your disposal.

There are some serious weather concerns across MLB today so PLEASE pay close attention to the weather before settling on your lineup. The Cubs/Pirates have a 30% chance of rain throughout the day while the Giants/Reds contest may be cancelled by the time that you read this. It looks like a 75% chance of heavy rain in Cincinnati this morning. The Braves/Mets game is a 40% chance to see rain showers while the Tigers/Indians have a 50% shot at having rain over the stadium.

Today's Playbook takes into account ALL 15 games in MLB today. As I said before, I tried my best to provide great plays for both slates in DFS MLB today but I can only go to where the numbers point me. Be sure to read the breakdowns and by all means if you have a PRO subscription check out the rankings and optimal lineups.
