Were you one of those people who liked report card day back in school? I wasn’t but not for reasons that you might think. Being the youngest of five my parents really didn’t care what kind of grades I got because at that point they had seen it all. Even at a young age I had a thirst to learn and to know. I would pay attention to the things that I wanted to learn about and drift off when the class was talking something I didn’t care about. This happens in fantasy sports all of the time except now I am the teacher, which sucks a lot more than I thought it did by the way.

So each week I will be going over all of my rankings, projections, lineup advice and strong opinions and letting the record speak for itself. Obviously this is a risky proposition considering if I am wrong too much it could be a severe hit to my career. But I have confidence because fantasy football is something that I love and have a desire to learn about every single day. So despite the risk, I accept this challenge.

Here is the second edition of Right, Wrong or Indifferent taking a look back at NFL Week 15:

RIGHT

Johnny Manziel, QB, Browns

How many times have I told you that Johnny Football could not be a success at the NFL level? The answer is a lot. Manziel will have a couple good games eventually but this debut should be a wake up call to all of you who thought because he could run around people in college, he would be able to do that in the pros. It’s not going to happen folks.

Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys

Quarterbacks were brutal this week and so Romo was one of the few who I was high on that actually worked out this week.

Jeremy Hill, RB, Bengals

I have been against Hill most of the season. But early last week offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said that Hill would be getting the lions share of the carries going forward. Hill racked up 148 yards on the ground to go along with two TD’s.

Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers

If you believed in Stewart after his big game last week you deserve to suffer his failure. Stewart is not the answer to anything in fantasy football.

Tre Mason, RB, Rams

Welcome to a higher level of competition Tre Mason. The Cardinals are great at stopping the run and Mason doesn’t have elite speed or break tackle ability to combat the better competition.

Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Giants

There hasn’t been a hotter receiver in the NFL over the past five weeks. Beckham finished as the top scoring WR this week and was a guy that I have been quite high on in seasonal and daily leagues.

Harry Douglas, WR, Falcons

While most spent the week worrying about Julio Jones status last week, I tried preparing you for it by having Douglas ready to go. Be careful though because if Jones returns next week, Douglas fantasy value goes down to just about zero.

Dwayne Allen, TE, Colts

Allen is the Colts primary TE and is a target Andrew Luck loves to throw to in the red zone. Allen was the sixth ranked TE on my board last week and came through in spades for those that started him.

WRONG

Mark Sanchez, QB, Eagles

Many QB’s had disappointing performances in week 15 but Sanchez hurt me the worst. I fully expected a rebound from him after a terrible outing at Seattle. Considering Sanchez tore up the Cowboys just two weeks ago, this 6.1-point performance really stings.

Alfred Morris, RB, Redskins

I had predicted that Morris would be a top five fantasy RB this week and that failed miserably. The Redskins offense is in such disarray right now it probably is best to just stay away.

Isaiah Crowell, RB, Browns

Crowell is banged up perhaps worse than I or anybody else had realized. The Browns had a terrible offensive gameplan and Johnny Manziel did nothing to help that cause.

Mike Wallace, WR, Dolphins

Just when I decide to give up on Mike Wallace he decides to go out and tear up the mighty Patriots. I am just not going to buy into Wallace anymore. I don’t like players that give up on plays or in games and I have seen Wallace to both this season.

Martavis Bryant, WR, Steelers

Bryant was a gut shot for me this week as I thought he would end up being the guy who scored multiple TD’s for the Steelers this week. Alas, Le’Veon Bell got that honor and Bryant did little to help fantasy owners in week 15.

Reggie Wayne, WR, Colts

There was no way that I thought Reggie Wayne would play and in hindsight he really shouldn’t have. But I recommended Donte Moncrief to a lot of folks and since Wayne wound up playing, Moncrief didn’t pan out.

Larry Donnell, TE, Giants

The last time Donnell faced the Redskins, he hauled in three TD’s. This time out he managed just two catches for 11 yards.

INDIFFERENT

Derek Anderson, QB, Panthers

I was casually high on Anderson as a desperation play this week and although he didn’t do well, he wound up being the seventh best fantasy QB in week 15.

Latavius Murray, RB, Raiders

Murray was recommended as a low end RB2 or FLEX play and that was pretty much where he ended up. I was hoping for a better game in his second go around against the Chiefs but overall Murray did exactly what was expected of him.

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts

Surprisingly, I had quite a bit of questions involving Hilton and either two or three other premier WR’s. In fact, a high ranking executive at SiriusXM had Jordy Nelson, DeMaryius Thomas and T.Y. Hilton to choose from this week and had to leave one out. Hilton was the guy that I suggested ride the bench because he was the only one that can be taken out of games due to bigger, stronger cornerbacks. I am not sure whether he sat Hilton or not but I am hoping he remembers who tried to steer him right.

Torrey Smith, WR, Ravens

I said all week that Smith was not going to play and yet he defied us all and was active against the Jaguars. Still, if everybody took my advice and sat Smith they would have been just as well.

Jordan Reed, TE, Redskins

Reed is a solid PPR TE option with anybody other than RGIII as his QB. So, I was bullish on him this week but once Colt McCoy left with a neck injury, that was all she wrote for Reed’s fantasy value.
