Tonight’s Strategy
Tonight, we have a nice eight-game slate, which I find less than ideal. Now factor in most of the teams are on the better end of the defensive scale, and it could be a low scoring night.
As always, all fantasy ppg numbers are FanDuel specific.
So, with the band Operation Ivy playing in the background, I bring you today’s Position Coach Article.
Point Guard
The one is rather thin tonight with the top tier of players all banged up.
Goran Dragic certainly does not get the best match-up, but he has dropped three 30-spots and two 40-spots in his last six games.
With the Phoenix Suns allowing the fourth most fantasy ppg to the one, I see no way you do not play Elfrid Payton. By the way, he is averaging around 30 fantasy ppg over his last four.
Jeremy Lin has scored more than 30 fantasy points in three out of his last four games. At his price-point, I absolutely love him tonight.
Cory Joseph is facing a Detroit team allowing a ton of fantasy points to the PG position. Joseph up till now has not paid the dividends I hoped for, which is why I will keep riding him.
Malcolm Brogdon coming off the bench gets a great match-up facing a Lakers team allowing the third most fantasy ppg to the PG position.

Shooting Guard
James Harden is facing a Pelicans team allowing the seventh most fantasy ppg to the SG position in the game with the highest O/U of the night at 227.5.
DeMar DeRozan, once again, he is an instant play with Lowry out.
Avery Bradley is facing the Nets who allow the second most fantasy ppg to the position. He is up at the 30-minute mark now and should feast with no Isaiah Thomas.
Late bullet anyone? Evan Fournier has had his ups and downs, much like life, tonight facing the Suns with a 221.5 O/U, he should be just fine.
Marcus Smart is playing in the one facing a Brooklyn team allowing the most fantasy ppg to the PG position. And much like Bradley, he should benefit quite nice with Thomas out.

Small Forward
Jimmy Butler has had some lackluster fantasy performances as of late, but…he is still the only SF who could drop a 50-spot.
Otto Porter, who reminds me of those freezer pops, is on fire. How hot? How about three 30-spots and two 40-spots in his last six games.
With the Nets allowing the most fantasy ppg to the three, why not take a flyer on Jae Crowder?
Brandon Ingram is facing a Milwaukee team allowing the third most fantasy ppg to the three. He is really finding his way into the offense as of late.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson dropped a 30-spot last night and is in a great position tonight to repeat for peanuts. If Trevor Booker sits again tonight, he is the must play.

Power Forward
Julius Randle has scored more than 40 fantasy ppg in three out of his last five games. He also is a great late bullet, and in my main FanDuel lineup.
Dirk Nowitzki playing center is facing the team that allows the most fantasy ppg to the position in the form of the Sixers. Did I mention he is dropping 30-spots like its hot?
Aaron Gordon, yes, he is really hit or miss for upside, but generally you can count on him for 25-to-30 fantasy points.
Richaun Holmes has scored over 85 fantasy points in his last three games. Dallas is tough, but I would be willing to take a flyer here.
Amir Johnson is where I am looking in GPPs tonight. The Nets are allowing the second most fantasy ppg to the four, and Johnson, can yield great fantasy production when he gets the minutes.

Center
The Boogie man, DeMarcus Cousins, tantrums and all, is the only center who can drop a 70-spot.
Al Horford benefits from an elite match-up facing the Nets who are allowing the fifth most fantasy ppg to the center position. He has scored over 70 fantasy points in his last two and gets my call as the best bang for the buck.
Just for a bit of extra exposure to this game I am all about Clint Capela in GPP lineups. With so many other viable centers on the slate, he should fall heavily under the radar. He is a safe 25-to-30 fantasy points.
